I am a Boston native, moved away for my business and go back every year and have started bringing friends and employees back with me from time to time to enjoy the New England Summer. That being said, one of my guests this year, and avid movie buff, was excited to take the tour and it didn't disappoint. Our guide,... More

We got this tour at half price and I'm glad we didn't pay full price as I thought it was a little disappointing. Our guide was MG who was good but the info and sights were disappointing. Half off the films no one had seen even she admitted they weren't worth seeing. At the start she mentioned all these films... More

My husband and I took this tour on an overcast Sunday afternoon, and our tour guide MG definitely brightened up our day. She was very knowledgeable about the Boston film industry and kept our small walking tour group informed and safe on the wet street of Boston. Films that were featured included THE DEPARTED, A CIVIL ACTION, THE BOSTON STRANGLER,... More

This attraction, included with the GoBoston card was really fun. If you're traveling with a group, it may be important to know that the tour bus is a small 24 seater or so (no bathroom), and they limit the number of spaces for which they'll accept the GoBoston Card. If the tour doesn't fill, they'll accept additional GoBoston cards. You... More

Did the tour on Aug 29th. MG was a great tour guide and very knowledgeable. I love how they showed movie clips on the bus from the sites we were about to see. I will defiantly recommend to my friends.

MG was awesome. I had the pleasure of having her as my tour guide for both the Bus tour and walking tour. She was very knowledgeable and her upbeat personality made the experience both fun and entertaining. I will definitely recommend to friends and family.

Wasn't great. Elizabeth the tour guide spend the whole tour telling us about herself. How she was an extra in all of these movies that were shot in Boston. You only were able to get out at two locations. The best was the bar for Good Will Hunting. The history was interesting about the cast and the bar.

We did the TV & Movie tour in Boston on 29 Aug. MG was our tour guide. We really enjoyed the tour and MG was great - really knowledgable, enthusiastic and helpful. I'm going home with a list of films to watch on DVD and still chuckling about the Nun mask bus episode!! Thanks MG and we would recommend this... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
