This is a great park along the waterfront in Boston. There are lots of benches to sit and enjoy the beautiful waterfront. Rose Kennedy's Rose Garden is a gated garden located inside the park. The garden was in full bloom and absolutely beautiful during our visit. You can often find street musicians and people walking their dogs. It is a... More

This is a great place to take a stroll through a park and sit by the water and take in the sites. It is right across the street from Quincy market and a lot quieter. If there check out the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Rose Garden, right now the roses are in full bloom. The gates for the rose garden do... More

I love this park, especially in the summer. Tons of roses. And there are always dogs playing which never fails to make me smile. This park is my favorite.

My friend and I hung out here for about 20 minutes waiting for the trolley tour to start and it was really nice. A bit cold in April, but fresh clean air and nicely treated grass and plants make it a very pleasant hangout spot for a picnic or whatever you like. Enjoy!

This is a really easy walk from the Long Wharf, and a cute little area - I went in the winter and the canopies were covered in these great, eerie looking roots. But it seems like this would be really pretty when those roots have greenery.

The park is small, but there's a large grassy area which would be great for picnicking during warmer weather. The view of the waterfront and the boats is lovely, even on cold and rainy days.

Along the Waterfront is a city park known as the Christopher Columbus Waterfront Park. Interesting things to see here include a statue figure of Christopher Columbus situated amidst two trellis covered walkways. There is also plenty of open green space and good view of the harbour. You can conveniently visit the Christopher Columbus Waterfront Park if staying in the Waterfront... More

Wandered down to the waterfront from the Quincy Market area and stumbled upon this gem. Covered walkway. Beautiful fountain. Ample benches to relax on. A gorgeous view of the water.

Loved this waterfront park. The beautiful trellis makes it even more enjoyable. Take a quiet walk and enjoy the view.

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
