The Columbus Park is located only minutes from from the Freedom Trail, adjacent to the Waterfront. The park is a great respite site for a coffee, offering picturesque views across the city.

We came right at sundown, so the park had an orange/yellow look. The pictures looked amazing. Then it got dark and the park lit up with the big buildings in the background. This is perfect for a walk. North End is only 8 minutes away walking distance and I would recommend this for after having a nice Italian meal! Walk... More

The park is a quiet, open haven right by the "entrance" to the North End. Although it's a relatively small space as far as parks go, it has a waterfront oasis with a trellised, colonnaded area with benches and a great view of the waterfront. It's also right across a carousel! If you're looking for a break while touring the... More

My wife and I got engaged here. The Comm Ave Mall; Boston Public Garden; Boston Common; Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market; and Christopher Columbus Park are beautifully adorned with lights and decorations for the season.

I really like to go to park, like the feeling to walk away from the busy street for just a bit and enjoy the color of nature and some fresh air. This park just like that, but what even make me love this more, the park has a great view to the harbor. be able to walk around this place... More

Great place to stroll or sit. Always something going on. When we were last there, people were handing out free samples of caramel pop corn. The wisteria arbor is stunning in spring and many wedding parties go here for photographs. The Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy rose garden has a rose bush for every year she lived. It is stunning. Statue of... More

This is a great park along the waterfront in Boston. There are lots of benches to sit and enjoy the beautiful waterfront. Rose Kennedy's Rose Garden is a gated garden located inside the park. The garden was in full bloom and absolutely beautiful during our visit. You can often find street musicians and people walking their dogs. It is a... More

This is a great place to take a stroll through a park and sit by the water and take in the sites. It is right across the street from Quincy market and a lot quieter. If there check out the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Rose Garden, right now the roses are in full bloom. The gates for the rose garden do... More

I love this park, especially in the summer. Tons of roses. And there are always dogs playing which never fails to make me smile. This park is my favorite.

My friend and I hung out here for about 20 minutes waiting for the trolley tour to start and it was really nice. A bit cold in April, but fresh clean air and nicely treated grass and plants make it a very pleasant hangout spot for a picnic or whatever you like. Enjoy!

Thank James A

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
