Watched Nutcracker for the first time. The show was great and the Theater was beautiful. Their charges were little high than the others but the show was worth it.

I love the Nutcracker and over the years have not only performed in but attended many companies performing this ballet. The Boston Ballet company, in my opinion, is by far the best performance of this show. The costumes are wonderful and the choreography is incredible. The dancers deliver every time. Since the show has moved to the Opera House I... More

I took my granddaughter to the Nutcracker for the first time this year. She studies ballet and just got her toe shoes. I was able to purchase really good seats on the aisle down in the orchestra, and that enhanced the whole experience. Not only was the dancing spectacular, but the costumes and staging were beautiful. I was torn between... More

Be advised, I am not a dancer, and thirty years ago, my wife had to drag me to Ballet Met in Columbus, Ohio were we then lived. At first I was intrigued by the athleticism, and since I was not a complete Philistine, I loved the classical (and other music). Over the years, I think I learned to recognize quality... More

Classic but lots of original touch. Impressive performers. I love this group. Also, I want to give them my support for their involvement in the community, and the fact they make an effort to create an affordable opportunities for young students to be exposed to their work (and also for free, at the park) is great, thanks for that.

I have been to Boston many times and have seen as I thought to all the interesting places. After my flight to Miami I and my husband decided to stay in Boston to see the Nutcracker in Boston Ballet Opera house! We have heard a lot of good reviews about Boston ballet and that it is worth seeing, but as... More

Best production of The Nutcracker I have ever seen. Costumes, dancing and music were all fabulous, but the staging was incredible. I loved when the Christmas tree kept getting bigger and bigger. Very well done. It made my visit to Boston!

For me, it is not the holidays unless I have seen the Nutcracker while sipping a glass of champagne. In a nutshell (see what I did there?) it is the music, the costumes, the choreography, the talented dancers, including children and the stunning beauty of this timeless ballet that makes it wonderful even for those who are not ballet fans.... Stroll down the beautiful brownstone lined streets while capturing views of Boston’s tallest buildings from a distance. Some of Boston’s best restaurants are scattered around this neighborhood. There are many gems to be found, from jazz clubs to classy bars and restaurants. It is also home to art galleries, interesting boutiques, artsy stores and SOWA open market during the summer months. The South End is a true find in the city, with a more residential feeling than Back Bay.
