Excellent museum. Extremely well set out and very informative. Receptionist was very knowledgeable and also advised us to visit the Ether done in the main part of the hospital- place where ether was first demonstrated as anesthetic.

Small museum with a lot of medical history. I enjoyed learning about Mass General’s history and the innovation in medicine that was born there.

As a doctor, I love medical history stuff and being at MGH is pretty cool from the historical perspective. The museum is relatively small and doesn’t take much time to work through but you will need to read a fair amount and some of it...More

Yes, it's a really small museum (free admission) but you will get to learn some of the many important contributions to medical sciences that this venerable hospital has made over the ages. There is a nice rooftop garden that looks great in the warmer months...More

Visit this historic and ritzy Boston neighborhood to
soak up its classic New England charm as you stroll
down cobblestoned, gas-lamp lined streets. Bring your
walking shoes, camera, and select a nice day to wander
through the hilly neighborhood and check out its
exclusive addresses. Louisburg Square, Mt. Vernon
street, Chestnut street and the extremely narrow and
widely photographed Acorn street make a nice walking
