Fantasic tour with an even greater guide. The tour was fully booked but we contacted Brian who said he could squeeze us in as it was only 2 of us. Brian was incredibly enthusiastic and a true Bostonian giving small tidbits on the 10 or so spots we visited, really bringing them to life. Being English I enjoyed the gentle ribbing he dished out and the jokes. Finished at a great location where he also recommended great food spots as well as other excellent experiences in and around Boston (ferry to the USS Constitution). A great tour and be sure to ask Brian about Haaaarvey Paaarkaahhh

Brian was highly entertaining and mixed in comic relief within the history of America. And I am a big fan of paying what you can (usually $20 per person) which is a great day at the office for the tour guide if you have 10-20 people on the tour. Keep up the good work!

Brian was a delight. Funny from the moment I first heard him speak, he tries very hard to create a captivating and light hearted tour. He remembers the city from where each of his guests are coming, and is kind enough to stay a little bit longer after the tour for any questions you might have. The wealth of information he was able to give in just 2 hours was astounding. Even if you know the history, he adds extra Boston-specific tid-bits (and humor) to make it worth your while. I highly recommend this tour if you have a couple of hours to spare in Boston.

David P. was simply awesome. His knowledge is displayed in his delivery and presentation skills. He incorporates the kids, if any, into the tour and truly made this tour worth every minute we shared with him. He has me wanting to know more about the origin of the Revolution - you can tell he’s extremely well read about the topic. You will not be disappointed.

Before our 8 day trip to Boston I researched the many tour companies available.
This spectacular tour company (on their website) provides a Wealth of Free Information to enjoy your trip to Boston...not just their tours! Because of their information I was able to make a great itinerary.
We were fortunate to have David P. as our tour guide on 3 tours! He was highly knowledgeable, kept everyone in our tour engaged, freely answered questions and gave us some of his favorite places to eat and other recommendations that did not disappoint!!

We have done many Free Tours By Foot in many different cities and the Freedom Trail tour with Brian was one of the most memorable . His energy and obvious interest in and passion for Boston were infectious. Great information and humorous asides made for a great walk. On an extremely hot day, Brian did not push the pace and tried to stop in shaded areas when he spoke. There is a lot to see and a lot to learn- so be ready!. The night before Brian sent background information about what we were going to see then followed up with an email with suggestions regarding restaurants, bars, museums, and other sites. As the locals might say, “A wicked good tour!”

David did a great job of engaging & entertaining everyone from the adults to the kids. He knew his information & kept us moving. Humor, laughs mixed in with great historical information was the perfect combination. He also kept us in the shade as much as possible which was appreciated with the heat. Absolutely will always check for Free Tours by Foot in future cities plus recommend Boston's tour.

We did quite a few free walking tours in various cities around the world and this was the only one we couldn't finish. Our guide was Brian and even though he is very knowledgeable and energetic, the tour was overwhelming. Brian does not allow the information to sink in and you feel bombarded with words. I feel like even for native speakers it was difficult to comprehend the information and I can't imagine how tourists from other countries felt like. In our group, nobody looked happy. After 1 hour, we decided to leave as we couldn't enjoy it even though some of the facts Brian shared were quite interesting. We ended up paying for the Duck tour the next day and even though it is significantly more expensive, we don't regret it - it was amazing.

Hello Andrianna: I am sorry to hear you did not enjoy the tour. The Freedom Trail Tour covers 11 of the 16 historic sites in an one hour and fifty minute tour. There is a lot of information to cover in a short amount of time. When I sent out the directions I stated that the tour is a historical tour. I also included a link to some of the events and topics that we cover on the tour. The link would have been a good thing to check out before the tour, as it would have helped with some of the information that you found overwhelming. Any walking tour of the Freedom Trail is going to cover a lot of information in a short amount of time. Most guests who take a walking Freedom Trail Tour understand that. There is plenty of time on the tour to let the information sink in, as after each site we take time walking to the other sites. Also, if there is any information on or during the tour that guests may find difficult to comprehend, questions are also always welcome. Again it is a historical tour with a lot to cover in less than two hours. The trolley tours and Duck Tours are wonderful, and may be better suited to someone who is not as interested in going too deeply into the information about each Freedom Trail Site. Those tours drive by the sites giving you a basic overview of the sites covered. With a walking tour, we are able to cover more information for each site. I would encourage the readers of this review to view some of the more than 1000 other reviews I received over my many years of conducting tours in Boston.

We took a private group tour on the Freedom Trail with Brian and he was fantastic! He was energetic, entertaining, but most of all, knowledgeable about the city and its history. Brian truly loves the city of Boston and its history and is eager to share it with his tour guests. Thanks for making our college reunion trip one we will never forget!

We took the Freedom trail tour and were so lucky to get Brian as our guide.
We have joined numerous free tours by foot in different cities but we have never encountered such an amazing guide!
Brian kept us on our toes , interested, excited and amused for over 2 hours. He is a “ one man show” with an exceptional way of telling stories and historical facts.
We were so sorry the tour ended, we were wiling to keep going and listening to Brian!
