I took 3 tours with David P., and it was awesome! He speaks loud enough so that the all group can hear him perfectly, with a hint of humor he gave a lot of very interesting information, funny anecdotes and some suggestions on where to eat, where to shop, what to do after his tours... He got you covered! I... More

David P was an excellent & knowledgable guide, the weather was appalling with heavy rain however this went mainly unnoticed as David brought Boston's history to life over the 2 hours of the tour.

David P. was our tour guide and he made our tour informative as well as fun. As a Bostonian, David knows the local business owners and recommends pastry shops and Italian restaurants. David knows the history of the area inside and out making the sights like the old North Church, for example, personable and memorable. This tour was a highlight... More

Brian led us around some of the highlights of the Freedom Trail. He was entertaining and knowledgeable. I'd recommend this tour to those who aren't familiar with American history because he started right from the beginning - Henry the VIII!

Brian was simply amazing, my wife and I had the best time. His knowledge and enthusiasm about Boston really completed our trip on the last day of sight seeing. It was a great learning experience as he really knows his history about the city.

I am a tour guide myself in Havana Cuba and I cannot praise high enough Brian´s tour. This incredibly knowledgeable and funny guide gave us a magnificent tour of the Freedom Trail. I learned so much about the prelude of the American Revolution in this tour. Brian was so passionate about Boston and the US that I will always remember... More

The perfect mix of fun and history and there was never a dull moment. The time flew by and I'm so glad I did this tour. This is a must do for anyone visiting the city and a great way to see all the sites and learn their importance.

Our guide, Limari, shared her knowledge and enthusiasm of the Back Bay. The tour lasted a little over an hour and a half. She focused on the architectural style of the Back Bay as it related to the history of the area. Limari has a true passion for what she does and shared it with us. A day before the... More

We did the crime tour around Beacon Hill today with David P. And it was very interesting. Living and working walking distance from it all made it even more interesting since it is all about 'cool' crime stories from the Hill! :) Definitely recommended.

This tour takes you on the first 11 of the 16 stops on the Freedom Trail. The distance is only about a mile and is not terribly strenuous. The tour starts in the Boston Common and ends at Fanueil Hall. It is a lovely route that takes you by a number of historical stops as well as cute little streets... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
