We had a great tour by David P. We did the Boston Strong tour: Fire Flood & Famine. The content was very interesting, the guide was knowledgeable and kept a good pace without being too fast. I really appreciated that I could always hear him, even with the noise of the city. I find often walking tours are hard to... More

I did the North End and Boston Strong tours with David P., our tour guide. He is very knowledgeable and puts a nice spin on the tours, sharing the non-evident stories and facts. You can see that he loves finding new things to tell us and voluntarily looks up new information, sights, and routes. This passion and energy is passed... More

We had a tour of Cambrige/Harvard today given by David P. He was great --- smart, entertaining and even had a voice strong enough that I could hear him through the lawnmowers on campus. The best part is that our two teen daughter found him interesting and enjoyable which made the tour even more enjoyable for me. It was just... More

Limari Navarrete Bedford was our guide and was very informative about the North End and the places to eat. The only issue I had with the tour is that the information given made it sound like you would be tasting more food then you actually do. I don't believe this was Limaris fault I believe she did a wonderful job... More

This tour was amazing. I seriously was impressed with how knowledgeable Brian is about the history of Boston. I learned a lot! He was very energetic and used visuals which kept us very entertained. We had a pretty big group and still heard him clearly. We didn't miss any information. He was funny as heck and we really enjoyed it!... More

The guide, Brian, is hilarious, but also provides a lot of very interesting history. Great way to get an overview of the main historical sites in Boston at the beginning of a trip. There is no obligation to pay but most people did (I think $10-$20 per person is typical) - and it is well worth it.

Have used this company all over the US and they never disappoint. Did the Little Italy food tour and the Harvard/Cambridge tour. Our guide for both was Limari and she was wonderful. The food tour included stops for delicious foods and recommendations on other places to explore and eat at. The Harvard tour was a great way to see the... More

Brian was funny, knowledgeable, informative, witty...did I forget to say FUNNY! Three days later my son was still repeating things Brian said and we were commenting on what a great time we had. Without a second thought, I would definitely book the tour again. There was absolutely no pressure at the end of the tour for money...he never even asked... More

Great tour with a lot of information and personal comments. Talking distinctive, loud and clear we could understand everything of what David P. was saying without any problems and despite any noise or the fact that we are no native speakers (from Germany, family with two teenagers, age 15 and 17). Would go on any of the others tours with... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
