We really enjoyed our time on the Yummy Walks North End/Little Italy Food Tour. Our guide Diane was knowledgeable, passionate, and very proud of Boston and it's history. The food was absolutely incredible - a nice mix of savory and sweets and a great chance to have a sit-down option at one restaurant as well. We covered a lot of ground, which we loved, but never felt rushed or exhausted in any way.

It is a great way to get a good sense of what is available in the North End and a chance to try several different locations in a short amount of time.

Without doing any research we picked Yummy Walks for an afternoon activity in the North end. It helped that we had beautiful weather but nonetheless, good fun and I would certainly recommend. A good combination of history, exploring the North end and food. I would not call it a foodie tour (and they don't) - but rather informative walk with good food. Our tour guide was knowledgeable, easy to follow and we had a small group of 8.

Diana our tour guide was excellent. Her knowledge of Boston was amazing and she was good fun. We visited some amazing places around the North End. What was great was we didn't have to queue for anything as everything was organised before we got to the restaurant or shop. As part of the tour we also got to go into the North End Church. You get a good tour around the North End, history and see some great sights.

The lady who gave us the tour had no interest in being there. She's been doing this for over 10 years and knew her script well. She definitely had no passion and it ruined the experience. There was one place she took us to that was good but overall, it was a terrible experience. I'm very disappointed in yummy walks. I'll never go on a tour with them again.

My family of 3 (two adults and an 11 year old) joined Yummy Walks for their tour of the North End last week. What a fun way to spend the afternoon! Our guide, Diane, was easygoing and informative. She managed to find the right pace and tone for our entire group. The stops were distributed well, and delicious! We highly recommend Yummy Walks.

We do food tours all over the US and really enjoy learning about the cities. There is so much history in Boston and were really looking forward to this tour based on the wonderful reviews. Although the information shared was very informative, we felt that very little time was allowed to take photos while learning about the sights, and that our guide seemed to be on a sprint from point to point rarely looking back to see if the whole group was keeping up the same pace. On the food, the lobster bisque at the beginning was very good, as was the crime filled lobster pastry at the end; however, I was disappointed that we only stopped at four locations to sample food instead of the six sites advertised (and one of those four was 1/4 oz of liquid chocolate). Yes, yes, the site lists subject to change but usually that means substitutions non exclusions. This was the first food tour that we were actually hungry and ready for dinner 1.5 hours after the tour. Bottom line is this...good tour if you want to check it off the list and say you saw the Freedom Trail and taste some traditional Bostonian staples; not so good if you want to connect more with what you are seeing and tasting.

We are truly disappointed that the tour did not meet your expectations. The pace of the tour is designed to provide ample time to absorb the sights and information presented, record your memories in photographs and, at each stop, to enjoy the food. Our guides do their best to accommodate everyone while keeping in mind the need to complete the tour on schedule so our guests can get to their next planned activity while they are visiting Boston. Wheeling your dog in the stroller may have slowed you more than you expected. We do inform our guests on our website, that this tour is not suitable for strollers due to the cobblestone streets, brick sidewalks and stairs. I can understand your frustration as the stroller may have made it difficult to keep up with the group. The tour you took on Memorial Day provided 5 stops instead of the usual 6. Our other vendor was closed (as well as our normal substitute vendors) for Memorial Day observances. The quantity of food served is generally enough to prompt many of our guests to comment that they just needed a light snack for an evening meal. However, as the tour runs from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM , it is not designed to replace dinner. We hope that the next time you are in Boston you will join us on one of our other 'Yummy Walks' and give us the opportunity to exceed your expectations.

Had s good time on this food tour. Went to six places. One stop was captain jacksons historic chocolate shop which I don't think should have been our tour. Our tour guide Chloe did a good job very informative.

We're glad you had a good time and enjoyed Chloe. We include Captain Jackson's because the Freedom Trail Food Tour is a historic tour covering the colonial history of Boston and the history of chocolate in colonial times and being able to see how the colonists prepared it, is of interest to many people. They also enjoy tasting it!

Spent a fabulous afternoon with Ingrid of Yummy Walks touring the North End of Boston. Great shops, restaurants and a bit of history. Food was wonderful too.

A group of 10 us from NH drove down to Boston for the North End tour. Somehow our tour was mishandled and our guide was 1hour-15 minutes late. We were all very hungry and didn't get anything substantial for another half hour. A couple places were not ready or even expecting us. It could have been an awesome tour, but the slip-ups on the tours part made it only good at best; They gave us a glass of wine to make up for being late. Also the woman at the bakery was extremely rude to us, the tour says that's how she is, why don't they go elsewhere, good service matters. Boston was great, the tour needs a little tweeking.

Once again let me personally apologize for the delay you experienced and your resulting disappointment. We did mishandle the start time of the tour by inadvertently instructing the guide to arrive at the normal scheduled departure time of 1:00 instead of the special arrangement of 12:00 for your private group. Though our apologies were profuse both on the day of the tour and in subsequent communications, I know it doesn't make up for our error. We tried, in a small way, to express our regret by providing wine at one of the restaurants and instructing our guide to spend as much additional time with your group as you wanted beyond the normal 3 hours. All our vendors were expecting the tour and I am sorry if you perceived additional delays . Some of the venues are small family run establishments that can get busy, and occasionally, the restaurants need a couple of minutes when we arrive. This allows for the freshest presentation possible for their dishes. We continually try to do our very best for all of our guests.
