Wayne was the perfect run tour guide, friendly, knowledgeable and fun. Communication and booking was easy, Wayne choose a great route which included everything we had hoped for and looked after us well. If you enjoy running and exploring its the perfect way to combine the two. Highly recommend 😊Thank you Wayne 👏🏼

This is something that every runner new to Boston or just visiting should try out. Jared and Abby were very flexible on where to meet and helpful in getting directions on how to get there. Where you run was also ver ycustomizable- there were about 10-15 different options on the website, but they let you choose yourself exactly where you want to go. The tour was very imformative- we covered many different landmarks in Boston such as the Commons, Fenway Park, and the finish line to the Boston Marathon. After the tour, they were also very helpful in helping my family find things to do and places to eat in Boston. Overall, I recommend this to any runner who wants to see the city.

We had just arrived in Boston the evening before the run, so hadn't checked out the area yet. Wayne met us at our hotel which was great, he took us on an 8km tour of Boston taking in most of the main historical sites, as well as the Boston Marathon finish line. He took some great photo's along the way and emailed them to us. I would highly recommend this tour as Wayne was an excellent guide, he made us feel very welcome and gave us some handy tips and advice for our stay.

I surprised my husband with a birthday trip to Boston and after reading reviews on Trip Advisor, decided to book a running tour through RunBoston. This ended up being the BEST part of our trip...even better than the Red Sox/Yankees game (-: Wayne was an amazing tour guide and kept things at the perfect pace for us. He was extremely personable and knowledgeable! We are planning a trip to Boston with our kids this summer and this is the first thing we plan on booking again. This is a must do!

Wanted to see the city and get in a long run all in one fell swoop and hit a jackpot. I had a friend who recommended RunBoston and Wayne specifically and we were not disappointed. We wanted 9-10 ish miles at a comfortable pace with no pre-planning on what we wanted to see. Wayne suggested several times to choose from and we went with early Friday morning to avoid heavy crowds. Also, it was before we had been in Boston long so we figured this would give us the opportunity to see what we would want to go back and visit later in the trip. He met us at a T station that was easy for us to get to, we discussed pace and distance and goals for sights and then set off. We began with a “warm up” due to some heavier pedestrian crowds in the downtown area so we stopped frequently to talk about what we were seeing. He’s a veritable font of information and engages everyone in the questions. My senior in high school knew more of this than I did as she had recently had AP US history...nice tie in to what she had learned in books. We worked our way along the Freedom Trail till we got to the Charles River where we were able to pick up a dedicated bike/run path for several miles. Wayne kept the commentary going, talking about MIT, Harvard and Cambridge, the buildings, the bridges...all while accommodating our pace (he’s a CRAZY fast guy...) He was extremely polite, knew people seemingly everywhere and was willing to give helpful running advice. We finished by crossing the river and running back on the other side and then up to the last mile of the Boston Marathon (SO COOL—pictures at the finish line!!), through Boston Commons and then ultimately back onto the Freedom Trail to see some other sights we hadn’t seen on the way out. Wayne will do your picture when ever you want—and he’ll carry the camera so you don’t have to carry your phone if you don’t want. He also carries water for you (who doesn’t love that convenience?). The price was amazing—I feel like we got away with something for a nearly 10mi run for 2 people that had a running (ha, get it?) narrative throughout. Wayne is super nice, has a great personal story and a personality that is perfectly suited for people who want to ask a million questions, while sweating. Seriously, I wish I had done this in so many of the cities I visit, don’t miss this opportunity when you are in Bean Town.

I highly, highly recommend Run Boston Running Tours. I ran the last 9 miles of the marathon route and it was such an amazing experience -- not only was I able to run the actual route, but I learned so much by having Wayne as my guide. He pointed out things I never would have noticed if I had run the route alone, such as declines, the number of turns, and mile markers. Wayne was also full of knowledge and history.

I've taken running tours in many US cities, and this has been my favorite so far. It is a great way to see the city while getting in exercise. For those of you new to running tours, this is a great way to try them out. Because the tour is private, you can run at a pace that is comfortable (I run about a 10 minute pace) and there is no pressure to push yourself beyond your comfort zone. Having a few pictures taken along the route, plus the t-shirt, is also a great souvenir of the trip.

If you are a runner, you cannot come to Boston without signing up for a Run Boston Tour. Wayne was super accommodating with my schedule as I had limited time during my business trip due to extended working hours. He took me on an awesome 9-mile run, showing me historical and contemporary attractions of the city. He took some really great pictures for me so I didn't have to worry about bringing a camera or phone along. And the highlight was running across the Finish Line of the Boston Marathon. What a thrill!! Definitely recommend for runners and even casual runners wanting to get a tour with a unique perspective. Thank you Wayne! It was an awesome tour! I definitely plan on coming back!

Did a family running tour - there are four in our family (2 runners and 2 beginners). Wayne met us in our hotel lobby at 8:30 am, gave us a brief overview of what to expect and we were off. Wife was a little nervous about running, but we moved at her pace and it was just fine. A perfect blend of exercise, fun and history. Wayne is an all around awesome guy that knows a lot about the city and explains everything very well. He knows all the little tips and things we probably would have just walked by had he not told us what to look at. Definitely the highlight of our trip to Boston!

If you are a runner, you have to book a running tour of Boston with RunBoston!!! It was definitely the highlight of my trip and I did many different tours while visiting the city. Wayne, the Chief Running Officer, took me through the last 9 miles of the Boston Marathon route. We chatted the whole way and he shared all about the race itself (he runs in it every year), running stories, history of the city, and much more! I did not want the tour to end because I was having so much fun! I left the experience feeling incredibly inspired as a runner and wanting to be apart of the Boston Marathon in the near future. Wayne- thank you so much for the once-in-a-lifetime experience!!!

The first morning our trip began with a RunBoston tour. Lucky to have Wayne, the Chief Running Officer, we made our way around the city, to Cambridge and back, and even visited the newly opened Adidas Boston Marathon store! The run was an excellent way to learn our way around the city, get some history, fun facts, and have time for souvenir pictures along the way. We chose to go 10K and had a fantastic, personalized experience!
