It was my second time running with Wayne!! Enjoyed it so much the first time, decided to run again. It's always fun to have someone to run with especially when it's a long run and you don't know where you are. He pointed out new areas and made sure I was safe ! Recommend it highly!

Wayne, the Chief Running Officer of RunBoston, was so informative and friendly that I hardly noticed we were running the hills of Boston. He has stories about every area or landmark we saw, either running by or stopping to look, and is engaging in his commentary. He was terrific at keeping me to my pace and goal distance. And he... I was fortunate enough to be able to go two running tours Saturday April 23rd and Sunday April 24th. The weather, route and tour guides (Katherine and Wayne respectively) were FANTASTIC. Run was tailored to me and the information was flowing freely. I will be looking for running tours everywhere I go now! Don't hesitate just do it!

I was so excited my friend found this tour for me when we were researching what to do in Boston. I wanted to see some historical sites but the runner in me also really wanted to run over the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Wayne let me do both!!! I did the custom tour running 6 miles through historic... More

Excellent experience. I enjoyed the places we run into, the story of the city and the visit of its most iconic sites. It was fun, interesting and I could run at my own pace.

We were so excited to find a running tour associated with the Boston Marathon Route. Wayne's knowledge of the history and route paired with his story telling abilities kept us entertained throughout the run. He was attentive to our running abilities and provided with us encouragement and pointers for future running. Wayne also shared information about other highlights of Boston.... More

The RunBoston Running Tour was amazing and so much fun! I was hesitant about signing up, but SO incredibly glad that I did. It was one of my favorite parts of my first ever trip to Boston! Neighborhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
