This is a great way to see and get around Boston. The tour covers a good route but I'm not sure the Harvard Loop is really worth the time. The buses offer a good view of the sights around Boston assuming the windows are open!! The drivers are knowledgeable, friendly and entertaining. I'm not sure they are quite as frequent... More

The tour is excellent. Very informative, useful information delivers by charming, friendly drivers. I wish we had done this the first day, rather than second. A one day tour gives you three loops for about $30. for senior/students/military.

We boarded the trolley tour at the cruise terminal which was helpful. The driver was very informative as well as all other drivers. The tour made eight stops throughout the city which seemed to be an efficient amount. They normally make more however our driver pointed out the additional stops and they didn't seem needed. We were able to get... More

We bought a one day pass for the hop on hop off tour. This time of year you receive a free day as well we also reeived free harbor tour. All were great. The drivers are very knowledgeable. Great value.

We did the full trip round Boston and it was great! The driver was very engaging and had a great sense of humour, he not only covered the history but gave lots of information about day to day life in modern Boston. Also gave lots of suggestions for places to eat and drink.

I'm currently planning our trip to Boston this coming weekend and have tried multiple times to contact the company with a few follow-up questions to ensure our trip is as enjoyable and smooth as possible. I've tried to reach them through email and phone and no one will respond or pick-up. Very disappointed in the customer service.

Don't remember her name but she had long dark hair and a bad attitude., The Driver kept running red lights and getting mad at other drivers for doing the same. Then she called out another driver from another trolley company that pulled next to her and had an argument with the driver because he "Blocked her customers view". Very unprofessional.

If this is your first trip to Boston ,you will want to take this Trolley tour . You will get to see much of the area and learn where much about the Freedom Trail . I would suggest that you get the two day pass . It will give the best value and the most flexibility during your stay .

We didn't have long in Boston and wanted to pack in as much as we could. This was a great way to do this. Not only is it an easy way to get around but the drivers know SO much about Boston and they talk the whole time pointing out places of interest, telling stories and recommending places to eat... This hop-on hop-off bus has several routes and covers mainly the same areas as its competitors but is the only company that does a loop to Harvard which is really worth a visit. You can walk through the main university grounds which has beautiful old buildings and trees. You need to plan though for some 'wait' time at the cross-over... More

Staying in Charlestown

Neighborhood Profile
Charlestown
Charlestown’s hilly roads, narrow streets and gaslight lamps, make it an enticing neighborhood to visit. Follow the Freedom Trail over the Washington St bridge from the North End or take the scenic water locks to Paul Revere Park. Walk through City Square and stroll down cute Main street, wandering up the windy residential streets to Monument Square, where you can learn about the city’s history along with a great view of Boston at the Bunker Hill Monument. While it’s not a huge area, there are some excellent restaurants. Find your way to the Charlestown Navy Yard, which is a developing area with lots of condos and an additional site for Massachusetts General Hospital research centers. Here you will also find the USS Constitution Museum. After you’re done, hop on an MBTA ferry at the dock on Baxter street and zip on over to Long Wharf and the New England Aquarium.
