About
Illusionists Joel Acevedo and Steve Kradolfer join their talents in a performance that is engaging, hilarious, and mystifying. As one of only 60 guests, you will experience the magic just a few feet from your eyes. Add the sophisticated elegance of Boston’s Hampshire House and the result is a uniquely entertaining experience you'll remember for a long time. The event starts 35 mins before showtime with a pre-show reception in the mansion's Baker Bar, where you'll find a vast selection of cocktails and beverages available for purchase. At show time, guests enter the Library where they will witness surreal situations come to life. Common objects will appear, vanish, teleport to impossible locations, and move across the room in inexplicable ways. You will also experience the wonders of the human mind through masterful demonstrations of telepathy, precognition, and mind reading. Join us and see why Four-Handed Illusions is one of Boston's highest rated shows!

- FramBrett44 contributionsSteve Kradolfer and Joel Acevedo, the Four-Handed Illusions team, dazzled a full room at the beautiful Hampshire House in Boston with their fun blend of magic, comedy, and music. There’s a reason why their performances sell out quickly and are rated one of the best things to do in Boston. This is not your father's cliched magic show with rabbits pulled out of a top hat or sawing a woman in half. Both of them are incredibly funny as well as supremely talented modern illusionists. You'll be scratching your head long afterwards trying to figure out how they pulled off those tricks. It's a luxurious setting in the Hampshire House's library and adjoining bar, and the dress code makes it feel like a truly special time out. The size and intimacy give it a vibe like you've been invited to a secret speakeasy or the coolest house party ever. If you want a fun afternoon or evening out with plenty of laughs, amazement, and a cocktail or two, I highly recommend it!Visited November 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten November 13, 2024
- laurie652018El Paso, Texas2 contributionsThis is one fantastic, not to be missed show!! Both Joel and Steve were just mesmerizing with the magic they shared. We left the venue wondering how the heck they did each and every one of their tricks/illusions. The smaller crowd of 50 people made it that much more personalized. When asked to participate in the show, Steve and Joel never made you feel uncomfortable at all! Full bar and snacks were great. My husband and I would totally recommend this for anyone wanting to experience something that they’ve never experienced before, just mind boggling magic!!Visited July 2024Traveled with familyWritten July 21, 2024
- Priyanka S1 contributionDefinitely the best magic/illusion show I have ever been to. The intimate setting made the whole crowd feel like we were actually a part of the whole show and it was an incredible unique experience. They are incredibly entertaining, hilarious, and talented - I would recommend this show to anyone visiting Boston or a resident!!Visited September 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten September 7, 2024
- KkgalBoston, Massachusetts40 contributions6 of us attended this amazing show last night. It was a gift for my siblings and their spouses for Christmas. I am not sure any of us really knew what to expect with the show but we were excited to get together and had dinner before. The show was like nothing we had ever seen before, these gentlemen were so entertaining, funny and super talented. We went last night and I woke up thinking about how these did some of their amazing 'illusions' and talked to my sister who came with us last night and she was thinking the same thing! It is a small intimate group, I think the room held only 50 and the men interact with attendees is a fun, lighthearted way. If you are looking for something fun to do, different from any other show you might see, then I would HIGHLY recommend!Visited February 2025Traveled with familyWritten February 17, 2025
- Jason P1 contributionI’ve been wanting to check out this show for some time. Knowing this, my wife surprised me celebrating a milestone birthday with the gift of an enchanting evening of magic and camaraderie what a splendid way to mark the occasion. What a fun, memorable way to celebrate my 50th! It’s just under a two-hour drive for us to the city and the drive was totally worth it! We had a wonderful evening together. We had a nice dinner at a nearby restaurant and a wonderful 1st time experiencing Four-Handed Illusions. If you’ve been on the fence about going or just need an excuse to get dressed up and get out to do something entertaining and FUN, as a couple (solo or a small group of friends) don’t hesitate. Tickets go fast! The allure of a live performance, the shared laughter and wonder, the joy of dressing up and stepping out – these are the moments that weave the tapestry of our memories. Joel and Steve, with their Four-Handed Illusions show, have indeed mastered the art of creating an immersive, entertaining, experience that lingers long after the final act. I’m glad to have experienced it firsthand. Highly recommended!Visited May 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten May 9, 2024
- Andreas BittnerSonthofen, Germany3 contributionsTravelling from Germany to the US we searched for the top 10 things to do in Boston. And one of them was the magic show Four handed illusions. For me (as a magician) this one was a must visit. Joel and Steve did a great job, entertaining the whole audience with their magic and humour. The setting in an old library room was perfect, and only 50 spectators per show make it really special. You can take drinks at the bar and also some snacks. After the show both took their time to speak with you and exchanging some words. All in all it was one of the best experiences of our vacation. Can recommend this show to anybody 100%.Visited August 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten August 26, 2024
- Lauren M83 contributionsThis intimate magic show was an absolute delight, blending mind-blowing sleight of hand with sharp, laugh-out-loud comedy in a cozy, personal setting. The magicians’ skills were mesmerizing. They effortlessly manipulated cards, coins, and everyday objects with flawless precision that left the audience in awe. Their quick wit and hilarious banter kept the energy high, creating a perfect balance between wonder and laughter. The small venue added a special touch, making every moment feel personal and immersive. It was an unforgettable evening of magic, humor, and connection—a flawless performance I’d recommend to anyone.Visited November 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten November 17, 2024

- Passenger013350310851 contributionIf you're in Boston, do NOT miss Four Handed Illusions! Joel and Steve are incredibly talented performers who will leave you speechless with their mind-blowing close-up magic. The show takes place in a stunning, intimate library setting that adds so much charm to the experience. We attended with five other couples, and we couldn’t stop laughing the entire time. The tricks are so cleverly executed, it’s impossible to figure out how they do it! The bar is open before the show and during intermission, which was a great touch for relaxing and chatting with friends. This was easily one of the best nights out we've had in a long time. We’re still talking about it days later. Whether you’re a local or visiting Boston, this show is an absolute must-see. Five stars all the way!Visited January 2025Traveled with friendsWritten January 19, 2025

This is my second time at the Four-Handed Illusions experience and it was just as good as the first. When relatives came to visit, I made sure it was on a weekend we could get tickets to see this show. This is a classy but light-hearted and fun experience. My guests LOVED it and proceeded to go on about the wonders of the act for days after.
In short, go to this show. If you are long time Bostonian or just passing through, you will love this experience. It is worth every penny.
I will be going again in future for a third time!
Thank you for the great night Steve & Joel!

I have been trying to go to this show for more than 2 years but lacked a ticket strategy. You see this MASTERFUL show sells out immediately so the KEY is to get a firm yes from friends in advance, buy the tickets and then tell them they are going!
Steve and Joel belong on America's Got Talent, or Penn and Teller. Or maybe, P&T belong on THEIR show. They bring the art of magic and illusion to a level I've never seen before and the audience was blown away the entire time. We ALL questioned our intelligence in the best of ways.
Do NOT sleep on this show. Steve and Joel are hilarious, in complete synchronicity and the level of creativity they bring to this craft is simply mindblowing.

We were given these tickets as a gift by a friend who had been to the show, and we were thrilled with the event! Joel and Steve are hilarious, 100% engaging and their magic is stunning! They used many audience members as participants, so if you're thinking that their magic is based on audience plants, think again. I didn't even try to understand how they did what they did - it was amazing and wildly entertaining. If you live in the greater Boston area (we drove from Worcester), you should definitely get tix to see this show! We went as a couple, but this would be super fun to see as a group. The show lasted over two hours (there's an intermission), so plan accordingly.

A fun, smart and engaging evening. I loved that the audience is limited to 60 people, so everyone can clearly see everything. A rare opportunity to get dressed up for the evening and enjoy a unique show in a beautiful evening. This well paced and polished performance will absolutely entertain even the most “I don’t like magic” audience member.

Without a doubt the best illusionists in the game. So funny and their magic "tricks" are unique and quite frankly mind blowing. I recommend signing up for their email alerts with new dates because spots sell out within a couple of days. Second time going and will def be making another trip up to Boston in the future for a third.

THE BEST SHOW in Boston for sure... First time seeing magic in-person and it's a dream come true for my inner child that was crazy about magic. The magic part is unbelievable, but the jokes and the engaging form are even better! Joel and Steve are top tier comedians and cracked the room up. Over 80% of the audience got to be a part of the show and that made such a big difference from just watching. The ending trick where everyone got to experience the magic was a cherry on top of the whole night! And on top of that Joel and Steve are so friendly and humble, they were seeing the guests off and talking with everyone! Will absolutely bring my friends and family back for a wonderful night.

Four Handed Illusions is unlike ANY magic show you may have seen in the past. It was a captivating, incredible evening. We received a gift certificate from our son & daughter in law who saw the performance last year. They thought we would enjoy it. We were absolutely amazed by the illusions, the venue, the overall evening in Boston!

HIGHLY recommend this for a couples outing/special event/date night, in particular. My wife surprised me with this for my birthday and we both absolutely loved it. The location is beautiful inside a library of The Hampshire House in Boston. Intimate setting but spacious enough where you don't feel stuffed in. The performers were extremely personable, enthusiastic, engaging, and funny. Kept your attention the entire time and included almost all the audience over the course of the show. I really liked the way they have it set up where they do some of the acts together, then separately and then close together. It gives them both the chance to showcase their unique talents and personalities. Now, to the actual magic itself... yup, it's awesome! You have no idea how they are pulling this all off despite you being able to see everything right in front of you, up close and personal. I think the length of the show is fantastic as well. First half is an hour and then a short intermission, followed by another hour of performance. When my wife told me what the price of the tickets was after the show, I was even more impressed because of the value. I would absolutely see these guys again!

This show is a stripped down version of Penn & Teller. The two performers are extremely talented and keep you saying "What?" and "How?" all evening. It really is an amazing show, in the truest sense of the word. Small and intimate setting adds to the overall pleasure of the evening.

Incredible doesn't even begin to describe this show. I've been twice now with my sister and we were blown away each time. Even seeing a few of the tricks twice, our jaws were on the floor. They use audience participation which makes it even more mind-blowing. Between pulling objects out of the air, a card cut out of the inside of an orange, and seemingly reading people's minds, this show is not to miss. Steve and Joel are witty and entertaining and feed well off of each other. The venue is small and perfect for the performance. I'll definitely be back next year!!

Absolutely! Mostly adults were in the audience the two times I attended, and there are a few jokes here and there that were innuendos but it would probably go over her head, its nothing inappropriate.
