I have seen the Blue Man Group about 4 times since they began their run (3 times in NYC and once now in Boston) Both shows are in similar venues; industrial like theaters which add to the atmosphere of "performance art". The Blue men are funny and charming although they needn't resort to gross jokes, of which there are a... More

Wow! I wish I could give this show 10 stars! I have wanted to see this for years, and on a recent trip to Boston we decided to go for it. And man were we impressed. My boyfriend didn't stop laughing through the whole show and even though it was past my bedtime, I was very happy we went and... More

We had a lot of Fun at the Blue Man Group show. It was really funny. You will like it. If you are tall or large the seats are not that comfortable and there is not a lot of leg room.

I got tickets for our family while in Boston because my 20+yr old sons wanted to see them. I wasn't really looking forward to it, but I have to say the show was great. There is a lot of humor in the show, which I didn't expect. The Boston venue is a small theater, but I think that made the... More

This show largely consists of moments of silent communication between three men with blue masks whose subtle irony is meant to hold the show together, but ultimately these moments turn monotonous quickly and, frankly, boring. I saw this show and loved it when I was 12. Twenty years later it did not hold my attention nor that of my wife.... More

This has never been about high brow entertainment, but it was mildly watchable a decade or so ago. Today, much of action has been replaced with the giant iPhones, to great detriment. It's still somewhat watchable for the under 10 crowd, but most adults around us rolled their eyes. If you must go, do not, under any circumstances, pay full... More

I know the reviews are superb so must be me. Just didn't see the fun watching some dudes dressed in blue feeling their mouths with cereal then spitting it out. Some of the drumming but was good. Overall I was glad to get out. Sorry.

I know this has been going a long time, buy it is great fun. The Boston theatre is much smaller than I expected but that was fine since we got closer to the action. I would aim for the non poncho seats since you're further from the stage so get a better view. These are cheaper and just as interactive.... More

This is my third time going and I love it every time. This time we sat in the "splash" seats.....fun! There is no intermission, it's non stop entertainment and laughs. Audience participation and interaction. Noisy for people sensitive to sound, but otherwise can't think of anyone who wouldn't enjoy!!!!

Great show-didn't lose my attention. Wasn't sure what to expect as we had never seen them live, but definitely worth the money. We did sit further back, but they provide panchos if you're close to the stage (and paint). Would recommend for kids and families too.

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
