We went to Jacques in Boston not knowing what to expect. We knew it was supposedly gay, but actually it was a rather amateurish drag bar with a relatively straight almost 100% female audience. Quite strange!

This was our finale for a bachelorette party, and it was a great choice. It's a small bar, with some large, and in charge, entertainment. (It's a drag club, so extra flare.) The ladies performing all had their own style, and it was a lot...More

Found Jacques by chance while staying at the Hotel Revere next door. Dropped in for a pre dinner drink. The decor is out of the past when gay bars were the prime home for gays before todays more open acceptance. Love the old nostalgic interior...More

I went here as part of Bridal Shower. But it's not my cup of tea. The place was too smoky, dark and dim.

I love a good drag show. This night was almost like an "open mic night"....which was a little bit weird. There were a few performers who were non-drag performers, which was a little off, especially when I paid a $7 cover charge for the drag...More

It is a drag bar with shows and/or fun, the last one left out of five in the neighborhood! Great fun, and great people, just need not to be shy! :)

The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with
historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through
one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston
Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling
statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the
pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where,
during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting
children and eager tourists through the pond. Have

jacques imos is closed on sunday- so now where? (9 Replies)
We have been dying to try Jacques imos but our only night we have available is Sunday nite and there are closed. Is there any other restaurant that offers something similar? I loved the idea of alligator, soul food etc- and casual.

I don't know if they have alligator or not, but the Praline Connection on Frenchmen Street is well known for soul food.

Sawtooth Club Re-Open After September Fire (0 Replies)
Just a quick note that the Sawtooth Club will officially re-open on December 13th three months after a fire on Main Street in Ketchum nearly destroyed the restaurant! The same fire did destroy Whiskey Jacques and an empty building. The Sawtooth has made some changes to the building..and it looks great! Hope you'll include it on your trip to the area.

Hotel near Jacques-imos? (6 Replies)
Hi all, staying at the Omni Royal April 10th thru 14th. I was supposed to be staying there the 9th as well but the Omni screwed up my reservation therefore I have no hotel for the 9th as it is old out. I get in around 7 pm on the 9th and thought I would just go to dinner at Jacques-Imos and stay at a hotel near there and then head over o the Omni the next day. Any hotel recommendations near Jacques-Imos? Or any hotel ideas that would make sense?

From Jacques-IMOs you can walk to the St Charles streetcar line, so I wouldnthink someplace on the Streetcar line would be OK. Hampton Inn St Charles, AvenuecPlazw are a couple. I am assuming no car, is that correct?
