Jacques is great

It is a drag bar with shows and/or fun, the last one left out of five in the neighborhood! Great fun, and great people, just need not to be shy! :)

The entertainers were fine - but the audience was just gross. I didn't think I was a prude but I guess I am - I just don't get being grabbed by strangers as fun. Again - the show was a lot of laughs but I wouldn't go back.

Definitely a flamboyant, fun, feisty and festive spot to hang with the girls for a show! Saw lots of birthday parties and bachelorette parties. To reserve a table, book a few weeks to a month ahead. The bar is nothing special, but the cabaret more than makes up for it. Lots of laughs!

Places like this probably won't be around in Boston forever, so go check it out. The staff is super friendly, fun fun shows, and a a generally great crowd. Go there and support them!

My friends and I went to Jacques for the New Year's Eve party that the bar was hosting. It was a blast, and was a huge bargain. For the 15 dollar cover we got front row seats to the drag show, a personal bottle of champagne each, and a large pizza. I also ordered a drink at the bar and... More

Having been to Drag shows in NYC, this one was a huge disappointment! The performers were all about collecting the dollar bills instead of putting on a show.

We went to Jacques, after an absence of many years. The place has not changed in appearance, but it's audience has changed drastically! The place was crowded, but not full, and we, as a gay couple, were among the 6 men in the room. The rest of the audience was bridal parties, out for a fun evening. While the drag... More

A mom's night out, in the middle of a cozy neighborhood, in the basement of a bar, a night full of laughter, great music and gorgeous women! Bring your dollar bills and enjoy the best 90 minutes of your life!

Went with my sister and a couple of nieces after dinner and a play: what an unexpectedly wild end to a night on the town! My sister insisted on finding Jacques for a "quick drink" to end the night. The rest of us had no clue what we were in for... The venue was a bit hard to find, down... More

We recently stopped by Jacques on a Wednesday night for a bachelorette party. When you walk in it seems less than impressive but the show was amazing. The drinks were in small cups but were strong. The entertainment was an absolute blast. Make sure to bring lots of dollars to tip the performers and enjoy. Also, they don't take credit... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
