Not a bad seat in the place. Open air concert hall made for a great experience! They gouge you at the concessions stands though--$5 for a bottle of water and $15 for a beer.

My husband surprised me with tickets to see a show at the BHBP. It is in the waterfront area in Boston near lots of restaurants and hotels. We stayed at a place less than a mile away and were able to walk back and forth very easily. Getting in was easy as we got in line early. As is the... More

What looked like not bad seats were not so much. We got there early and the stage was not very far away. When the audience filled up the seats were worthless. Between the person in front of us with hat and 2 girls standing four rows up we lost any visual. There is not enough rake to the design it... More

I've seen many shows in the area, but this place is the best. It's very easy to get to, especially from South Station via the Silver Line, which stops just two blocks away. I've seen lots of shows here and it's always a relaxed atmosphere under what looks like a huge tent without walls. I've had issues with patrons or... More

Kind of outside but inside. Although it's basically an outdoor arena, the tent covering it does give something of an indoor feel too. Whichever, the acoustics were pretty good and the atmosphere just like any major concert venue. We saw Death Cab for Cutie and it was a really good concert. Easy to get in and out to the concessions... More

I thought this was an excellent concert venue. Clean, smoke free and close to the ocean. I would definitely attend again.

Blue Hills (locals will still call it Hah-bah Lights) is quirky but pleasant place to see a show. As it's pretty small there really isn't a bad seat in the house and if you're into a more chill time, there are tables you can buy and sit back from the main crowd. The one caveat is those tables are not... More

This concert venue is outside but there is a tent covering the whole seating area. So if it is hot outside, it will be hot under the tent. Both times I have been here it was right around 70 outside, so perfect temperature. Short of a very strong wind the rain shouldn't come under the tent either. There is a... More

Blue hills Bank pavilion is two blocks from the Harpoon brewery on Northern avenue. A limited seating Arena, 5000 at best. It shares in the Renovation of a Revitalized waterfront district. The price of the tickets are moderate to high. 20 to 100+ range. The food and drink at all venues of this type is Obscene and bordering on Criminal.... More

I look forward to seeing this schedule every year and try to get to at least one show. Really nice atmosphere on a summer night. The water view area is less than it used to be but still accessible and nice to enjoy. They have improved the quality of the seating with sturdier seats and cup holders. I love the... More

Staying in Seaport District / South Boston Waterfront

Neighborhood Profile
Seaport District / South Boston Waterfront
This area has been expanding and becoming more and more popular, for good reason. Not surprisingly, the seaport district of South Boston is located beautifully along the water. The area is designed for easy strolling along the HarborWalk, and there are bars and restaurants for all ages and budgets. The Institute of Contemporary Art is located in this area in a contemporary building with an absolutely stunning deck overlooking the water. In the summer time there are Friday music concerts on the deck of the museum. Nearby, there are many green spaces to enjoy.
