Enjoy an outing on one of the most scenic sections of urban river in the country. An experience on the Charles River from our Boston location in Allston/Brighton is a wonderful respite from the surrounding city, with parkland on both shores and rowers plying the waters. Head downstream and you'll encounter local colleges (Harvard, M.I.T., and B.U.) and eventually the Esplanade (a great picnic spot!) and the unforgettable Boston skyline. This nine-mile stretch of river has no current, allowing painless round trips. However, renters can also enjoy one-way trips to or from our Cambridge location in Kendall Square — a unique way to see the city!

I wanted to go kayaking on my birthday while on vacation this summer in Boston. We rented kayaks here and had a great morning kayaking on the St. Charles River. The staff was very helpful. My husband, son (13) and I did the SUP class in Allston/Brighton in early August. We had tried paddleboarding before, but found it more difficult that we had expected. In 90 minutes, we covered a lot of material and the instructors were very helpful in commenting on things like our form. The quality of the instruction was actually better than... More

The Kendal Square location is very convenient, with plenty of restaurants to enjoy when you finish. On a Wednesday evening in August, they were rather crowded. Staff was friendly and efficient. Dogs are allowed on the Kayaks.

My wife and I booked the 2 hour "Sunset" tour from Kendall Square (close to our hotel, but also a couple of minutes from the T) and were delighted with the experience. Obviously, a 4:30pm-6:30pm tour in August won't coincide with "sunset" in Boston, but it is a lovely time of day and the views are spectacular. Our tour guide,... More

Yesterday My friend and I rented a kayak from the Kendall square location. We drove, parked at the Kendall square parking garage. Walked last then 5 minutes away. Then the fun began. 1. Fill out forms , which includes a waiver and a brief quiz(don't be nervous I'm sure you will pass) 2. Give your license or some other valid... More

My dad and I had a blast on the Charles River. The folks were fast and friendly...and made renting very easy. We rented a dry bag for $1 to keep our items dry. We are experienced kayakers and the kayaks, life jackets and paddles were of very good quality. I highly recommend this as a great way to see the... More

For the last four years we have been kayaking on the Charles and it's one of our favorite Boston experiences. Our family (teenagers included) often come and bring friends. We enjoy it at 10am, after work, on weekends, whenever. We even got a flotilla together (adults, teens and grandparents) for the July 4th fireworks spectacular and it was simply stellar... More
