Been here with friends for a picnic... nice grassy place. Parking available (park and walk a bit to it). Best views and for kids to run and play. Can put your small BBQ oven...

Visit the fort on the peninsula and learn about the fort's history during the wars. Take a 2 mile walk around the harbor in a circle loop. The area has beautiful views of Boston. Sit down at various points around the fort and people watch,...More

Historical fort, grassy hills and the OCEAN. Add a Sullivan's frank while you stroll around Castle Island and you have the makings of a perfect spring, summer or fall day. See container ships and cruise ships up close and personal as they glide into or...More

We didn’t spend too much time here as it was nearing sundown and getting cold. Cute area with lots of parking. Great place for a walk or picnic!

It doesn't have any competition so the lines are long, the food overpriced but it is in a great location. Perfect example of how difficult it is to get ahead when the system is rigged.

A completely biased review as I have been going there for over 50 years. Once again I got the clams with bellies as I usually do and once again they were absolutely delicious. Highly recommended. Parking can be a challenge but be patient.

When I worked at Gillette many years ago we would head down to Castle Island for a hot dog at Sullivan’s and a walk around the castle. The place is mostly the same as I remember, but they have added some nice things. I wanted...More

The park, beach area and grounds are always open. The fort itself has seasonal hours.

It's always open to walk there. The restaurant (Sullivan's) is seasonal, usually closed December to March or so. Sometimes they lock the close in parking gate at night, but there's plenty of places to park nearby.
