The experience of floating down the river on the paddle board was so fun and beautiful! Highly suggest going on the morning! My wife and I did this for our anniversary and we felt like we had the whole river to ourselves as we easily drifted down this beautiful river. If you’ve never done this before - it’s super easy! My wife sat on her board most the time and thoroughly enjoyed it , when she did attempt to stand up she found it was much easier than she thought. Don’t go to Ashville and miss this opportunity!

We had originally booked this tour with another company who called me that morning saying they were cancelling all tours due to high river water. We were looking for alternative things to do and I thought Wai Mauna had a lake option. I called and a knowledgeable person answered. Just at the off chance I asked if they were doing the ricer SUP option. He said they were and they were able to meet us soon at 10:30 am. Our original tour was at 10am so it was nice to keep plans on track. When we met out guidelines at the park we were transported to our dropoff area. On the way he was able to explain why some companies wont do excursions with higher water but also why safety should not be a concern ( we both have a little experience). He was very good at giving simple instructions to navigate and gave a quick lesson before we were off. He was also able to give additional information on the town and things to do. Once we were on the water we were shocked that thec1st company had canceled everything for the day. What was the big deal? The water was moving quickly but not a scarey pace. As long as you are able to paddle to the pick up sight at the end it was fine. I could see this being a concern if you ha e never done any kind of paddling and water excursions in the past and were maybe a little afraid. However the Wai Mauna screened us 1st and was able to accommodate based on our skill level. I would recommend they to friends

First time SUP was a fantastic experience. Kyle was able to work us in to a booked schedule. Steve was an outstanding instructor that made the trip very enjoyable, We did the self-guided 7 miler and thought it was just enough. The boards were great and I would highly recommend this to anyone interested in water sports along a beautiful river.

Kyle, Steve and crew gave us a perfect, flawless experience for a sunrise paddle board. Everything from scheduling, directions, what to bring, meeting, shuttling, putting in the river and taking out of the river was executed in a manner that was simple, easy, and gave us a memorable experience. Thank you!
