Very nice mini golf course. Golf was $9.00 a person but you got a rematch game for $4.00 a person, so not priced bad at all. Also had snocones for $3.00. Course was pretty and well kept.

My family and I visited during our family vacation. This is definitely one of the better upkept mini golf places that we've been to. The staff was very welcoming from the time we arrived until we left. The grounds were very pretty and you were able to see something in every turn.

We happened upon this little place last night after dinner. My son really wanted to go, so we pulled in. The people are really friendly and the course has a fun laid back atmosphere. The prices are great too. We had a ball.

After, we headed over to the batting cages. Neither of us have any baseball experience, but the guy working there helped us and it was really fun!

It is just a fun way to spend an hour after dinner. I loved being outside and doing something active. It's not a fancy place, but that's what I loved about it. Totally laid back and fun.

We are vacationing in Asheville and wanted to play putt putt! Found this great course on the Internet! We had a 4 year old and a 65 year old in our group and holes were both easy and challenging for everyone! Great fun and easy location just outside of downtown Asheville!

My son and I visited Tropical Gardens earlier today and fell in love with the place. We are huge putt putt fans and obviously the owners of this course are as well. Everything was very well maintained and the staff was super friendly. We plan to return on our next visit to Asheville.

We visited Tropical Gardens mini golf and batting cages with our 3, 5, and 8 year olds. The course is fun and you can tell that the owners take care in the maintenance and in the design of the course. The staff were friendly and attentive. The kids had a blast and so did we. After mini golf we spent over an hour at the batting cages...I forgot how much fun they can be! The two older kids, my husband, and I took quite a few turns (while the youngest enjoyed watching while eating her snow cone...they have just about every flavor imaginable). We enjoyed it so much that we returned again the next day. Also, parents of small children who need one every 5 minutes will especially appreciate this....clean bathrooms!

I live in the West Asheville neighborhood and finally walked over to play mini golf. Im only giving 3 stars despite all the fun we had, and here's why:

Cons: unfortunately the course backs up to some apartment buildings with residents that clearly aren't picking up after their dogs. While it isn't Tropical Gardens fault (fence separates the property), it did make for a smelly first 3 holes. Also, the course is a little small and in need of some updating.

Pros: friendly staff- smiles the whole visit. Even though they need some updates, the landscaping is lovely, as there is a nice waterfall. The location is somewhat tucked off of the busy road, so it's easy to feel kind of hidden- went on a weekday afternoon and there were NO crowds. It is also one of the best and most cost effective ways ro enjoy a summer afternoon that doesn't include drinking at a bar.

A little love would put this place over the top (and maybe a conversation with the property owners behond them). I'll definitely be back.

The gentleman behind the counter was a pleasure to speak with. We were there on a chilly Friday, and we were the only people there. We enjoyed taking our time. The course, however, needs a bit of work to charge $7.50 per person. It was not located in a scenic area either.

This minigolf course is a bit hidden off the road, so you don't really know it's there. Most minigolf courses thrive off that off the road marketing. This one is a pretty nice surprise, not knowing how it looks before pulling up. It's $8 a person and is a fairly well maintained course and equipment. There are a number of animal statues, but the statues only come into play as obstacles on a couple holes (skull and working volcano).Even without have moving targets and obstacles, each hole offers a decent putting challenge. This course is well worth a go for minigolf fans. My only suggestion would be to incorporate more of those animal figures into the course play.

My wife and I came with our three kids (6, 4 & 2). We made it through 14 holes before we got chased off by a thunderstorm. When we stopped to turn the clubs in, we were pleasantly surprised to receive rain check coupons. The guy behind the counter (maybe the owner) was friendly and easy to talk to. He was there again when we went back a few days later to use the raincheck coupons. This time we finished all 18 holes. We all had a great time and enjoyed the course. The course was unique and each hole was a little different. We’ll definitely be back the next time we visit Asheville!
