Came to Asheville for a lot of outdoor stuff - hike, kayak, disc golf and art. We also love craft beer so excited about that. If you are doing that, start here! Walk to this spot and get very good (IMHO, the best beer in Asheville) and judge for yourself. However, the most important thing, get to the very best part of Asheville for nightlife. Stay away from “downtown” until you’ve experienced this part of the town. I’m pretty sure you’ll agree this is where you want to eat and drink b/c the city center is very, very touristy with inflated prices, long waiting times and, sadly, other tourists. Come here - the beer and atmosphere are exceptional.

I love the long, narrow outdoor tables that bring you and yours closer together. Wonderful atmosphere.

It’s a interesting contrast to the funkatorium across the street. This place is more a place for intimate conversation over good drinks without a hum of human jnteraction around you. (Not that that’s a bad thing; maybe something I long for currently).

This brewery was an unexpected surprise! There were at least 14 beers, ciders and seltzer on tap.

Belgians, lager, stout and yes IPA and sours, but great selection and some unique and unexpected combos. The young man serving us was very attentive and offered samples which helped us decide. An awesome quad for hubby and I loved the blonde chocolate/marshmallow stout!

Nice brewery and great beer. We visited 3 breweries while we were in Asheville and this was one of the larger ones. The beer was reasonably priced. We were there around lunch time during the week and it was not busy. We ordered at the counter, so I cannot speak to how long you might wait for service at the table or if they had table service. However, someone did come over to check on us to see if we needed any water. I liked the fact that this brewery had beer that was not something that you would normally get if you were at home, but interesting and equally good. Nice to try something different and be pleasantly surprised.

Twin Leaf offers a welcoming comfortable atmosphere. They also have some unique types of beer that we didn't find at other breweries. They didn't have flights, but they did have 8 oz. (half beers) pours that were good for sampling a variety of beers.
The staff were friendly and it was enjoyable to spend an hour or so here trying their drinks. Unfortunately, they don't have much food to offer other than bags of chips.

I stopped in Twin Leaf while checking out the local breweries while in Asheville last weekend. I tried a few of their brews and didn't find anything I liked. The bartender needs to find another profession because she has the personality of a fish. I am a very easy going person and very easy to please but this girl didn't smile, didn't offer any suggestions or act like a bartender. I will not be back.

A Bar, a pub, a local hang out,
To my revered Twinleaf,
I Give this sincere shout out.

A small gathering in a large quaint place,
There's games, large tables and a homey outdoor space. Occasional food truck if hunger you care, with usual tacos and other good beer fare.

The tunes are retro and mellow, but not too loud so you can catch up with your long lost fellows. People of all kinds come here to unwind. To the gays, straights and "other", Twinleaf appears to be kind. There's young couples and old, good buddies reminisce, fortunately there are two transgender bathrooms to take a p!ss.

Smiling Bearded Bar tends are friendly and cool and will poor you a splash, as you decide on which beers you'll lay out your cash. Fruity saisons, good chewy stouts, a solid hoppy IPA that ends just right in your mouth. Belgians and Wit beers, the list goes on, how can so many great beers from just one place spawn?

What puzzles me most about this little dive (sic) is its absence of the large Friday night hive? It's not loud, hustling and bustling like the corporate beer towers, but it's quaint, cool and mellow and pulls from a different beer powers.

So if you are are searching for a spot for all of these reasons. Bring your friends here regardless of season. But don't tell everyone and to end this little ditty, discover Twinleaf is the best kept secret in all of Beer City.

Okay beer and atmosphere. Did have free games to play inside - kid friendly. Food truck outside if hungry.

17 beers but only one IPA. Other beers cover the range - sours, stout, saison (did have 3 brown ales). No tv's, all indoor, live guitar player.

On a very busy Saturday afternoon, three of us were attempting to visit various breweries in Asheville. It was crowded and hectic everywhere we went. But the bartender at Twin Leaf was efficient and pleasant and handled the crowd beautifully. Add the great selection of beers and this was definitely the highlight of an otherwise disappointing weekend. Kudos to the staff!! If we attempt going to Asheville again, this will definitely be on our list of places to return to.
