Great artwork and love the shop. Great experience. Phil has content that will attract anyone that has spent time outside or has a farm. We have 5 pieces in our house and will be adding to our collection in the future. I like that he does new material each day and his use of social media during this pandemic has been outstanding.

We first discovered Philip DeAngelo's landscape artwork at the downtown Asheville gallery in the old Woolworth's. We then realized that he has a local studio in the River Arts district so paid a visit. He has his prints in several sizes so we were able to purchase the art that we liked in the size/budget that we wanted. We really like his simple rolling hill landscapes using bold colors.

After a day of negotiating the maze of studios in the RAD, I found myself peering through the doorway of the Broken Road Studio, taken by the clean, simple, perfect lines of a colorful painting of a house, hills and a fence. Inside, I was surrounded by paintings I had unknowingly been searching for all day. Then I saw the C.S. Lewis quote on the wall and understood. I have many fond memories of my Asheville visit, but the Phil DeAngelo painting I purchased, and time spent with Phil and Tina, was the gem of the trip.

My wife and I visited the DeAngelo studio in Asheville last week. The studio was very comfortable and the art is amazing. The DeAngelos were so nice and welcoming. The studio dogs were an extra bonus!

If you love bright color and some whimsical art, this is your place. Edgy style and very light hearted -- his animal work made us smile.

I visited on Tuesday, toured many other art studios in Asheville, then came back on Wednesday and drove home happy with 6 pieces of Philip's beautiful art. He shared his vision, coffee, dogs, art, and time. Philip is an incredibly generous, compassionate, talented, and lovely man, as is his wife, Tina, minus the man part. The plan is to install all of his pieces in a new psychology/psychiatry clinic in Durham.

As I said to Philip, "Your art makes my wounded heart smile - and yes, there is healing power in art, especially art that celebrates nature so vibrantly, simply, and poetically." I am sure his art will also help heal others.... after all, his work is the best mood stabilizer on the market! Well done, Philip, well done!
