So glad that we made it at the last minute. Mary, our guide, is extremely knowledgeable, articulate and patient. She shared a lot of insider stories and she has a great sense of humor. We learnt so much about Asheville- highly recommend!

Kevan introduced Asheville to our Road Scholar group. He was so interesting and enthusiastic about his home town, not to mention most knowledgeable, A small group of us requested a more in depth experience focusing on architecture and fortunately for us Kevan was available. Unfortunately, the weather was not cooperating, but not a problem. Kevan called upon Jason to drive us in his van and add some additional commentary on beer and how it is locally brewed. A great afternoon in spite of the weather.

We are glad you enjoyed your time in Asheville. We were happy to set up a custom experience for your group. I’m sorry the weather didn’t hold out, but we still had a great time together.

So my wife and I were just in Asheville visiting from Berlin, Germany. We have been on these big walking tours in Europe before and didnt know what to expect in such a "small" American town. But I would recommend this to anyone coming to Asheville for the first time. Its a great way to get an overview of the city, along with some local attractions and insider tips. I think like me CJ is a foodie which is great because he points out the best spots in town for good food. It is an easy walk, insightful, fun, and FREE! Need I say more. This should be the first stop in Asheville, CJ will point you in the right direction.

CJ is an excellent tour guide. Four of us scheduled a private tour with him. He is punctual, knowledgeable and very professional. He has a dry wit and sense of humor that added extra local flavor to the tour. We covered a lot of ground and learned a great deal in 75 minutes. I had been to Asheville many times over a number of years and yet I learned a great deal I didn't know. I recommend CJ and this tour highly, especially to first-time visitors who only have 2-3 days to visit Asheville.

We took this tour the first day and am so glad we did. It was worth every penny as the tour guide knows this city inside and out. He even took us up to the top of the BB&T building so we could get a birds-eye view of Asheville, I don't think any other tours get to do that. If you even remotely are interested in the food scene and some background of Asheville, this is the first tour to take.

The tour is advertised on the website as one hour, 45 minutes. It was one hour, 30 minutes. The guide was boring, and just recited facts. I take walking tours all over Europe, and this paled in comparison. I live in Asheville, and much more could have been talked about.

Thanks for your message. I’m really sorry to hear the tour did not meet your expectations. That’s really rare for us. I’ll PM you to see what happened and how we can make it right.

What a great re-introduction to a city I thought I knew. Casual, funny, interesting, I especially appreciated the sound system for busier streets and larger crowds. Our guide was wonderful, and he chatted with locals we met along the way who added to the story of this historically fascinating town.

We hosted an international group. As an Asheville resident, I tried to explain what living here is like to our friends. Tebbé did an AMAZING job accomplishing this, combining Asheville’s unique history and progressive vibe in just a couple of hours. With humor, charm, and knowledge, he accurately and fairly revealed our city...warts and all. We walked, laughed, learned and thought. Cannot imagine a better tourist experience. Our friends are raving about Tebbé and Asheville By Foot. Thanks.

This is our fifth trip in the summer to Asheville and we have done many tours of the city from bus tours to beer tours to food tours. The Asheville by Foot - Walking Tour is excellent. Kevan is very professional and knowledgeable about Asheville. First we were impressed with his promptness and efficiency for the tour. He has an audio system where each person has a headset making it very easy to hear him and really learn all that he has to share. Walking on sometimes traffic busy streets often makes it difficult to hear the leader. Not so with Kevan- we easily heard all his delightful, intriguing, and insightful information on Asheville. Taking us in a figure 8 walking tour of Asheville, we visited numerous areas we had not seen on previous tours and gained even more insight into this amazing town. Kevan provides a rich history of Asheville - from its beginning, how it got its name, growth, paying off its bond debt, its decline, how it came to be where it is today and visions for the future. Kevan has gathered extensive information on the city and has a delivery style that makes it most interesting. Our tour lasted the full 2 hours and the time went by so quickly.

There is a lot of walking so be sure to wear comfy shoes. Sunglasses are helpful also. We are not sure how far we walked but we covered a lot of the city.

Thank you for such a thorough review. We are glad that you enjoyed the amplified listening devices. Folks really appreciate how they keep the tour moving. And just so you know we walked a little over 2 miles, which is a good walk, but as you noted an easy walk. We look forward to seeing you in Asheville again soon.
