I hate to write anything negative about Asheville, because it truly is one of my favorite places to visit. However, my friends and I had a bad experience at this park. We had just gotten some lunch on a beautiful Sunday afternoon and were looking...More

Drum circle on Friday nights is a site to see. Goes from May to November every Friday night. People bring out their bongos and other various instruments. A few people pick the tempo and then everyone joins in. Great people watching.

This is a really small park in the middle of a busy downtown area. There are good bars and restaurants close by. Friday night there is the drum circle which truly is something to see. But other than that there really isn't much of a...More

By going on Friday, you'll see and experience the crowd that shows up for the very fun and lively drum circle. There are ample bars and restaurants within walking distance once the fun of the drums wears off.

Pritchard Park is an area that seems the hangout spot for the homeless and drug addicts. It is a grungy area with panhandlers and not an area I wanted to spend much time. I did enjoy the Friday night drum circle as that was fun...More

Wonderful park in the middle of town. Good acoustics for a park. Lots of space and friendly folks. Also good restaurant right next door with outdoor seating - bonus!
