Having visited the Thomas Wolfe Memorial, I was interested in seeing his final resting place. I was told that Riverside Cemetery is very much a park-like setting, and it is. The cemetery has well maintained roads that meander through its hilly, wooded acres. For visitors,...More

A beautiful, well kept cemetery, burial place of writers Thomas Wolf and O. Henry. It's huge with rolling hills, best to know where you are going because it's easy to get lost.

Nice place to get away from the city bustle and take a quiet, shaded walk along the winding, hilly paths between the historic grave sites, the likes of Thomas Wolfe and O. Henry.

Very quite. Good place to rest. The neighbors didn't make a sound, even though its pretty crowded 24/7. Visited Mr. Smith and Mrs. Jones, reminded me of Our Town.

This is a beautiful cemetery with many trees and rolling hills, a pleasant place to visit when in Asheville! Just be sure to visit during the day as it closes early, even to pedestrian only traffic.

Didn't think much of this cemetary but I am spoiled by Pere Lachaise in Paris and the old English ones. If you are interested to see where O'Henry the poet and the writer Tom Wolfe are buried and have some extra time - it's sort...More
