I have spent a day just enjoying this park or watching a 4th of July concert. Great place for concerts or for kids to enjoy the fountains.

What a great time we had at the Leaf festival. Can't believe we saw WAR live for free. Everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves and got along peacefully.

Our almost 2 year old daughter loves playing in water so we planned this stop at Splashville in Pack Square just for her. She was all excited, in her swimsuit and ready to splash. Imagine her disappointment when we find out it is closed for repairs. Shut down on July 27 for plumbing issues. Locals informed us that it happens... More

This beautiful large park is located in downtown Asheville. It stretches for several blocks and is filled with sculptures, beautiful landscapes, and historic monuments. Additionally, they offer a free music concert on Saturday called Shindig on the Green with various bluegrass and mountain music artists. It is a free event and a nice treat.

Great place to stop, sit and people watch. The fountain draws the kiddies and pups. There is always music wafting from the corner adding to the comfortable upscale urban atmosphere.

Art the center of downtown Asheville, this is a good place to start your expiration of the city. There is a visitor center that has maps, information about attractions, and knowledgeable staff to answer your questions. Good restrooms also.

Really enjoyed our visit for Shindig on the Green. Nice stage set up for artists to perform. Parking was a breeze in the garage on College Street. Restaurants and shops all right there within easy walking distance.

My family and I enjoyed spending Memorial Weekend in Asheville. One of the highlights, which was extremely fitting with the holiday weekend, was seeing the Western NC Veterans Memorial. We just happened upon this memorial while walking around and had no idea it existed prior to that discovery. Very difficult to express in words the respect conveyed with this beautiful... More
