The day we arrived in Asheville we went downtown to explore and ran into a Vegan Festival in Pack Square. Enjoyed walking around visiting all the booths and craft beer tents.

And good place to picnic on the grass. Nearby is Packs Cafe and French Broad Chocolate Lounge. Not much to do in the square. It is well maintained.

Pack Square is at the center of downtown Asheville and is surrounded by restaurants, museums, hotels, historical markers, and statuary from the Urban Trail. A park/staging area is nearby with fountains for the children to play in, weather permitting.

Find a place to park yourself and just enjoy the scenes happening all around the Square. Street musicians and performers add to the sheer funkiness of the place.

I came across it as I was browsing/shopping downtown. Nothing out of the ordinary. Nice to see if you are there, but I would not go out of my way to visit it.
