Beautiful example of Spanish architecture

This was a quiet, self-guided tour at the end of a long day. It's very peaceful and the art is outstanding. Make sure you stop here and see this beautiful place.

One of the special highlights was attending mass at the Basilica. Even if you are not there during one of the masses, take the time to visit this jewel of the city.

Went to services at 9AM last Sunday. The church was beautiful and has a lot of historic stain glass windows and statues. (the service was good also.) This church is definitely historic and worthy of a visit.

We didn't spend much time due to parishioners still at prayers, but we were able to walk thru the sanctuary and enjoy the amazing architecture and the glorious stained glass windows. I highly recommend planning a visit not close to Mass so you have the time and ability to explore using the self guided pamphlet provided by the church. Take... More

I was a visitor at Saint Lawrence this past Sunday and really enjoyed the celebration of the mass. Father gave an exceptional homily reminding me to be a good steward and as the choir sang, I was able to absorb the beauty of this amazing cathedral. I am alway thankful when I can start my day with morning mass and... More

Don't judge it by the exterior. The inside is absolutely beautiful. I had attended Mass there as a teenager many years ago but didn't appreciate it's beauty then.

Went right before Sunday 5pm mass, a lot of parishioners were arriving and parking, but found a nice parking spot close to the building, and went in, the ushers were very pleasant and allowed us to tour the place which is gorgeous, it has even more meaning if you are Catholic, because you would recognize the images and statues.

This is definitely worth the visit and is right in downtown Asheville. There was a tour going on we we visited, but you can also look around on your own. The stained glass is beautiful, and it was just nice to sit and relax in the calm atmosphere.
