This is a lovely church. It was very quiet and peaceful. I encourage you to check out their official website for a little information about the church. There is free parking, but you aren't supposed to park there unless you are visiting the church and you must move the car when you leave.

This place is amazing. Tile work by the Spanish tile guru who did the Biltmore Tile. This is a must see if you are downtown in Aville. Do youself a favor and sit quietly for a few minutes and reflect on what you want to do with the rest of your life.

I went to check this out at the wrong time. I enter and say there was a service going on. Instead of leaving I was ushered to a pew to join.

There was no access to the inside of the Basilica but there was enough outside and this is a beautiful old building one of many in Asheville. It was only a short walk from the center of town.

When you're walking around town, stop in at the Basilica. Makes for a nice meditative experience. There are several special areas in the church to see and the main space is beautiful.

The outside is very well done but the inside is incredible. The design and attention to detail is very impressive. The acoustic sound is also very well done.

This is a very pretty building in the heart of Asheville and is certainly worth stopping by. Be careful of your timing however, as they do hold service, weddings etc here.

One of the most beautiful Catholic Sanctuaries I've ever been in. The stain glass is mesmerizing. Very quiet

Historical, remarkably well preserved . Roman Catholic Basilica (church). Must see! Once inside it seems structurally circular - grab a self guided tour pamphlet (free) - interesting history. If interested bring a little flask for some free holy water. The building also houses the crypt of Rafael Guastavino Architect & Builder 1842-1908 Rafael Guastavino (1842-1908) an architect and builder of... More

My wife and I recently took a walking tour of Asheville to explore its many treasures. We were not disappointed. One of our first and most impressive buildings was the Basilica. It is a beautiful structure on the outside and inside. The exterior is impressive. The inside of the church is amazing. It has beautiful dome in the center with... More
