This past Sunday my daughter and I hiked to the top of Craggy Gardens but the weather didn't allow for viewing. It was a short hike uphill but one that most could do without overexerting. I can imagine that in a few weeks with clear weather that it will be an amazing view. By early October, the leaves should be... More

We visited Craggy Gardens in late summer / early fall, which is apparently when it's not in peak bloom and beauty. Could've fooled me! We did a nice, light hike, and enjoyed the cool mountain temps. What great views.

Nice spot to stop and use the bathroom, get directions and paper maps. Great views from the parking lot.

Several trails take off from here and you can get a map and some assistance at the visitor center. There's restrooms and water fountains too.

And it was amazing. It was pretty steep but not really difficult. 0.7 miles to the top and we could see mountains for miles up there. It's at elevation so it was cool. Loved it.

Beautiful in the Fall Season change. Plan to get out of your vehicle and walk around to see the different sites and view

Craggy Gardens is a beautiful short hike. It's a little challenging for those that don't walk often. Also, it's a great place to take kids to see the outdoors.

Well worth the drive & short hike. You can see in all directions once you get to the top viewing area. I'm sure it is especially beautiful in the spring & fall.

Beautiful view along the Blue Ridge Parkway. Hike the Pinnacle and experience the awesome view. Talk to the Park Ranger's and take a picture of the Tunnel.
