A Must See, Definitely Original

We loved seeing the old Woolworth Counter where you can order food or ice cream! Many interesting art stands where you can purchase art, jewelry, knick knacks. Interesting!!!

If you want to encounter many of the local artisans from the River Arts District in one convenient location with reliable air conditioning, then this is your ideal gallery experience! You won't meet the artists or be able to barter, but you'll find neat stalls with a wide selection of arts and crafts the reflect the diversity of the art... More

This is similar to the Kress Emporium. Local artists display their talented works of art for sale. The main floor is packed with beautiful handmade items. Some are quite reasonable in price. If you are hungry you can stop at the Woolworth lunch counter! It smelled delicious & was very busy. What a great way to preserve history, fun place... More

Great place to shop for quality crafts and jewelry. We always stop by and sit at the counter for a delicious home-made malted milkshake.

We stopped here after paying $8 a piece to go through the Southern Highlands Art and Crafts show. Lots of great crafts to see here and much lower prices than the crafts show. Wonderful to see the old Woolworth counter which had a line when we went through.

Although there are many places in Asheville to see local art this spot would be my favorite. This is a big space with a variety of many different artists. You also have many things costed pretty fair here. That is not the case with much of the art in Asheville. You also have the advantage of the vintage soda fountain.... More

Located in downtown Asheville, there are lots of beautiful items to view and buy here, all created by local artisans and craftspeople. Beautifully made, from paintings, pottery, clothing, soaps, etc. We bought a beautiful poncho, soap, and a picture. Lots to see even if you don't spend money. There is also a vintage soda shop there where you can buy... More

We decided to visit based on a comment by my sister who was here last year. Dog friendly away from the soda fountain area. We visit many craft fairs and were impressed with the variety and quality of the artistic offerings. We spent more than planned, but found the pricing vs. quality ratio very attractive. We would recommend this to... More
