Lot’s of different artists display here, some of it’s really good and some is just weird, but that’s art. Most prices were realistic too.
I don’t like normal galleries because there is always someone following you around trying to determine if you are serious about a $1,000 glass cat but here your free to roam around and look without some miss snooty asking if you like glass cats or pigs better.

This is my 3rd visit to Woolworth Walk and for me it's a "must do" when I visit Asheville. There are tons of booths with unique art - some quirky, some traditional but all handmade by artists. It feels wonderful to be able to support them and it's all high quality so it doesn't feel like you're buying something you can easily create yourself.

I'd highly recommend this for any art lovers or as a cool place to pick up gifts for the holidays.

Great gallery showcasing the work of local artists. Many of the artist's works we'd seen at River Walk were located here as well--but, this was alot easier to maneuver around and appreciate their work. Loved the old time soda fountain!

The Woolworth Walk has a great variety of arts and crafts from local artisans...paintings, stationery, toys, jewelry, home furnishings, pottery...to name some. There is a soda fountain where you can enjoy a fast lunch or an ice cream soda. The building is located in the heart of downtown Asheville, so you can continue browsing in the local shops nearby.

The wife and I walked through this old Woolworth which is now a store that sells art and crafts from local artists. There is also a functioning soda stand that offers food and drinks as in yester years, There are two floors of arts/crafts to view. We did end up purchasing a print to be framed later. Many varied forms of art is available. A quick secret is that there are restrooms on either floor.

This old Woolworth store has been converted in a center where artist can display their wares. Most of the art is of quality and worth a visit.
The soda fountain has been restored. It tastes and looks like the original to those of an age to remember.

This is a great place to see and purchase a lot of art produced by various artists. We liked that we could view the art without the artist standing there making it awkward. We ended up buying several items at the central checkout. Others were enjoying some treats in the restaurant area.

We heard about this place from another merchant in downtown Asheville, and wow did we love it! It's an old, two level Woolworth building that has been converted to a gallery for local artists to display and sell their wares. They also have a nice cafe where you can have a snack, lunch and even a cocktail. Be sure and thoroughly explore the main floor and the floor downstairs. You will find an amazing and diverse selection of original art from NC artists of many kinds including paintings, sculptures, and other media. We purchased a couple of small items since we have so little room in our luggage going home, but saw numerous larger items we would have loved to collect.

Woolworth Walk was a favorite for me (73) and grandson (18). The art and the variety of it is spectacular. We visited the soda fountain too. What a trip back to when I went to Woolworth in downtown Seattle. We stopped in three different times to make sure we didn't miss anything.

Woolworth Walk is divided into many small areas displaying pieces from different artists. There is a good variety of art represented. The soda fountain is adorable! The food smelled delicious even though we didn't take time to try any. This is a downtown must see!
