The overall experience is fabulous. One thing that was so perfect was the fact they would ship the item you worked on to your home, as it could take over a week to complete it after you painted it. This meant fewer items to pack for the return trip!

So the premise of most creative lounges is simple: Select a design (pottery and sometimes glass), decorate it to your liking, then submit it to the employees for baking in the oven in order to seal in the goodies, and it comes out all shiny and new! Adults and children are welcome here, and Fired Up! has plenty of options. My wife and I created matching bobble heads that are on display in our home, serving as a great experience that creates a souvenir in the process. We loved the atmosphere! It was so peaceful in the lounge that 3 hours had passed before we realized. There is no rush, employees do not bother you just because your project may be taking longer than originally planned. If you are in Asheville for any period of time, Fired Up! is worth a visit. The prices aren't outrageous, and about on par for what is taking place. Spend a morning here, you wont regret it.

We spent our honeymoon in Asheville. Visited Fired Up! and created a wonderful plate together. Now we have a memento of our trip that we created ourselves. All the great local art in Asheville inspired us to be creative also. And Fired Up was a such a great place with a really creative vibe. Would highly recommend stopping in.

For my birthday, my daughter-in-law booked us 2 hours to do the glass experience. We had a good time, but I did feel there could have been a little more instruction since it was our first time. The lady told us where the supplies and tools were, but then just kind of left us. It would have been nice to have her check on us to see if we had any questions or if we needed some assistance. The online information I dicated that the glass art could be picked up after 2 p.m. the next day, but when we inquired upon checking out, we were told 2 weeks. This information needs to be updated online so we would have been better informed since we do t live in the area. It is a cute store, and we'll laid out.

It was fun to work on a project. The lady working there had her son (approx 5 or 6 yrs old there) there with her. Although he tried to be helpful, he sometimes interrupted his mother while she was with customers.

Definitely an awesome experience! Prepare to spend some time here, as the painting itself can take a while if you want to do anything detailed, but every minute was tons of fun. They have lots of tools to help you create whatever you want. Our complaint was that although there is a big chalkboard upon entering that explains the fees, we were not told there was an extra price of fifteen dollars for shipping the finished pieces until the end, and we'd already painted. This was a bit annoying. Customer service wasn't exceptional, but wasn't bad either. It got a bit chaotic in the shop toward the end, with lots of people coming in, plus one employee had her dog and small child, so we decided to leave. Overall it was a very fun experience!

We loved the novel idea of glazing your own pottery, creating your own jewelry & the convenient downtown location. The owner was very accommodating & happy to help as we had never done this before. Every artsy town should have one of these & tourists should try it, it's so fun!

I enjoyed myself thoroughly. I arrived at 11:00 am and went next door for coffee and breakfast and brought it with me to Fired Up. I designed 6 small plates, 2 platters, and 1 pitcher - I received guidance and my questions were always answered. I ordered dinner to go from one of many fantastic restaurants all within walking distance and brought it back to Fired Up. I will be back to add to my collection and will bring my daughters. I suggest if you want more hands on help, sign up for a class - which I have heard are wonderful as well.

We had a great time here on a very soggy day (really, even the locals said they couldn't remember so much rain before). They have so many option to choose from - painting pottery, pottery wheel, fused glass, and so on. We thought it would be fun to try the fused glass and so went with that. The way the colors all "melted" into the base glass made for a neat finished product.

Mark was helpful and personable, provided instruction and then left us alone once we got the hang of it, but was readily available to answer questions.

I was really surprised at how clean this place is considering the range of art projects you can do there. Prices were reasonable.

Definitely consider this place if you find yourself with some time to spend in the city, and make your own souvenir.

Linda and Rebecca are both wonderful. They are excellent at giving ideas and organizing everything you will need to be happy with what you make. We all enjoyed being creative and trying our hands at new things. The studio itself is located on a quiet street with parking spots on the street (if you are lucky) It is very clean inside with restroom for customers. They also supply aprons to wear while you work. Some of us painted, some did pottery and some of us tried glass fusing for the first time. Each person was extremely happy with the results. The children had a fabulous time as well. This is really a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS !!!
