We went out with Ethan for a day of climbing with our family of 5, including 3 kids aged 8, 12, and 13. It was an incredible day! Ethan was clearly extremely skilled at climbing, was attentive to our safety, knew where to take us and how to assess our skill to adjust the day to us, and was super patient and kind and enjoyable to spend the day with. We went to the Rumbling Bald area and spent half a day on the Family Wall and the other half on the Cereal Buttress. Ethan was able to set up several different top ropes so that all of the family could be climbing and stay engaged, and we were able to do a range of climbing difficulties. We had so much fun and couldn't recommend this place enough.

Fantastic half-day top rope climb with our wonderful guides Tommy and Mary. Climbers from age 7 to 63 conquered fears and had a great time enjoying the majesty of nature. Highly recommend! Guides were sticklers for safety, which made mom and dad feel great about what could have been a risky outdoor adventure.

We have climbed both abroad and in the US with several guides. Pisgah's experience was superior at every level, with great communication, impeccable scheduling, reminders, their instructors are knowledgeable and friendly, the locations are stunning and plenty challenging for all levels of climbing. Highly recommended!

Amazing!!!! Stuart was our guide for our half day climbing adventure and I can not rave enough about him. Multiple times during our day my husband said to me how much he liked Stuart. First, I did not want to climb. My husband, son and son’s friend really were excited so I did it. I was SO nervous and I probably seemed very stand off-ish as I was so quiet and taking everything in. I didn’t want to learn to belay or tie knots, etc. but Stuart was so kind, patient and knowledgeable that he calmed my fears and put me at ease. Climbing is not my thing AT ALL, but I did enjoy my time today and it was because of the professionalism, patience and kindness of Stuart. My son and his friend and my husband LOVED their adventure and this was the best way to end our trip to Asheville. Thank you, Stuart for your awesomeness!!!!

Worth every penny. Rick was my guide and gave me the best experience possible. What's great is that in the booking process they ask you to describe yourself in regards to climbing. This is very important because they go out of their way to provide an experience tailor made to your current abilities and help you get as close as possible to achieving your climbing goals. They really care about what you want. I highly recommend asking for Rick, but I'm sure anyone he has brought on to Climbax make for quality guides as well. Great for novices and seasoned climbers alike.

BEST EXPERIENCE! I cannot say enough great things about our half day climbing trip. Ethan, our guide, took my husband, 8-yo daughter and me to Family rock (90 feet up!). Ethan rocks! He had so much patience with us beginners and made sure the day was safe, fun, and challenging. He was fantastic coaching our daughter to make strategic decisions and not giving up. Not only was the rock climbing great, but it was a bonus that he’s an outdoor educator and we learned about the trees, plants, and even a centipede that smells like cherries. We highly recommend climbing with Pisgah Climbing!!

My husband and I went on the half day excursion with Peter and this trip was one of the best experiences we have ever had! My husband has some climbing experience in a gym and I have minimal experience. Peter was extremely, conscientious, knowledgeable, patient, kind, and prepared. We were shocked when he even pulled out multiple layers of clothes and coffee from his back pack just in case once of us got cold! He coached us when needed on how to get up the climb and was extremely encouraging. I was a little nervous coming into town and not knowing the different guiding services and Peter is meticulous about safety. He has a number of climbing and first aid certifications and he knows the ins and outs of the equipment. We will definitely be back and I am converted from someone who endured climbing to do it with my husband who now wants to pursue it as a hobby :)

We had a truly memorable day. Our guide Ethan was able to clearly instruct our entire family (ages 11,14 and 47) and cheer us on to challenge ourselves and help each other out. It was exhilarating and relaxing - thank you!

Can't imagine a better trip. My daughters were first time climbers and one was terrified to try it. Peter was amazing with all of us. He worked so hard to make sure we got as much climbing as we could in. He gave great instruction so that my scaredy-cat now can't wait to go back and try it again. All of us agree it was a highlight if not THE highlight of our trip. When we come back to A'ville, we will certainly use them again.

My husband and I did a half day guided climbing excursion with Rick and had a blast! It was my first time and Rick was very helpful, knowledgeable, patient, and fun. We went to the Looking Glass Rock in Pisgah National Forest which was beautiful - we had stunning views from the top and really enjoyed being in the forest. We definitely recommend it!!!
