We wanted to see the craft fair in this facility. The upstairs vendors were awesome; very gifted artists and beautiful wares. Downstairs, there were opportunities for people of all ages to try their hand at weaving, watch craftsmen making wooden bowls, and of course....live music.

They recently redid parts of the building and it's poorer for it. Who can read the digital rotating sign so quickly? Liked it better when everything was up instead of holding up traffic during a rotation. And the renaming stinks. It'll always be the Asheville Civic Center to me.

I saw Jackson Browne in concert last night at the Thomas Wolfe auditorium. This was an excellent venue for listening to music. There were not any bad seats in the house. Even patrons in the higher seats enjoyed an excellent view of the stage, and the acoustics were very good. The restrooms were clean, and the staff who worked at... More

Located very convenient to all of downtown Asheville and easy to figure out seating! Saw a concert here and loved it! Only downfall is they only allow 1 drink at a time so if you're trying to get one for a friend don't hold your breath..

Six of us went to the long-awaited Alabama Shakes concert in the US Cellular Center—in the larger part that also is used for sporting events, trade shows, and other such things. As a concert venue, the place is abominable. The sound was unbearably loud, and there was enough bass to drown everything out. It was something like being forced to... More

We went to a concert as a gift. We had been to the civic center years ago before and was not impressed but the cell company now runs it and did a great job on lighting, ramp for my partner, and the ushers made sure that we had a place for the walker and oxygen generator. Lovely music, tone was... More

There is nothing beautiful or historical about the venue, but somehow I never fail to have a pleasant, even uplifting, experience there when I go for a show. The acoustics are good, and even the nosebleed seats provide a decent view. Staff is security conscious and prohibits bags (and purses) larger than 12 inches square. The concessions include beer, wine,... More

We had orchestra seats and were perched with a nice view of the stage. Unfortunately, the ushers brought late arrivals to their seats during the performance. It took an entire song for one group to seated. I expect better theatre etiquette. We had no difficulty parking and enjoyed dinner before the show. The concert performance was stellar.

Very much enjoyed the performance of the Asheville Symphony. The venue is rather tired and needs upgrading, but, the musicians were all wonderful. The Symphony is a great asset to Asheville. Wish they would have more matinees. We live over an hour's drive from Asheville, so if we go to evening performances, it involves staying overnight in town as we... More
