My mom and I went for a daughter/mother evening. We had so much fun learning to make pasta and cannoli! And the salad dressing was amazing. This was such a fun experience to do something different and meet new people!

John and Liisa were wonderful hosts/teachers for our Italian cooking class. They made you feel welcome right from the start. The recipes were easy to follow and something you would want to try at home. I would highly recommend the Cottage Cooking class to anyone who wants to sharpen their cooking skills or just enjoy a good time cooking in a group.

We thoroughly enjoyed our cooking evening and can't wait to try the recipes from our evening. Our hosts were informative and the food was delicious. I would love to go back and try a different theme. If you are in Ashville and like to cook, you will love this.

What a wonderful experience!! Liisa and John create a warm and inviting environment. They have this concept perfected. They ensure you have a hands-on learning experience in a relaxed setting. We had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed the phenomenal food. We highly recommend this as part of your Ashville visit!!

Excellent choice for an anniversary evening! John and Liisa are the best cooks and hosts! Book now! It was a lot of fun, and we made a great dinner! And even took home leftovers!

My dad had an amazing time !! This was part of his 60th birthday trip and he had a blast! He is the cook of the house and learned new things! He can’t wait to cook the fried artichokes for my mother and I! He would do this cooking class again he said!!

Cooking with John and Liisa is great fun. They are very welcoming and make you feel as comfortable as when you were a child helping out in your Grandma's kitchen. All the guests get assigned cooking tasks in random rotation, while the rest stand by and learn while watching. Nothing we cooks- in- training do is ever "perfect" in John's eyes. With his sly smile, he swoops in to improve what you have done... all in fun, but some how making you a better cook.
I live in Asheville and have taken 2 classes at Cottage Cooking. Both the Italian and Southern Favorites classes were fabulous. The Cheddar Scallion Biscuits and the Banana Pudding we made in my last class were the best I've ever eaten... and I consider myself a Foodie, eating out several times a week.
You should think about signing up for these cooking classes! They are the best!
