My favorite local beer is produced at this comfortable and (dog) friendly establishment.

I live in the heart of Beer City and these guys make some of the best beer in Asheville. The majority of their facility is dedicated to brewing, bottling, etc but there's a small area to sit and enjoy the beer. There's live music there from time to time. My favorite is their Wee-Heavy-Er and it is by far the... More

87 degree outside and soooo cool inside the brewery. Excellent beer... kolsh, bitter... The brewery is very convenient if you are visiting Biltmore Estate. I rate this brewery better than many others in Asheville. And, finally, lovely lady behind the bar!

We had tasted French Broad beer the night before and wanted to try more of their selections. Located their tap room, which is not downtown as some of their competitors so a little bit inconvenient. The place is small, just a few tables inside and a couple of tables outside on the front entrance porch. Beer is very good and... More

When visiting Asheville, definitely stop in and try their beers. They were good, but not one of our favorites. The atmosphere was a little disappointing compared to other locations.

Every brewery has its own character and feel, and while some have a flashy atmosphere, some have great food, whether with an outstanding kitchen or with food trucks, and others like this one, focus on the "beer" experience. Whether drinking my Asheville Tourists game beer, 13 Rebels ESB or the recent Zeptemberfest at the brewery, the folks at French Broad... More

I wasn't too impressed with the inside of this brewery, the area for customers was rather small and it had the look of being incomplete. The beers are good, I had tried Wee Heavy before and knew it was a winner. We also got a flight so my wife could sample. She liked zeptember fest. There was a nice outdoor... More

One of the smaller, more intimate breweries in Asheville. The beer is great and the staff is friendly.

French Broad River Brewery is a nice place. It's mall inside. The outside is likewise small with a partial patio. From the road, side road, it would be hard to see and point out. Signage out front isn't the best, so you'll have to be on the lookout for it. The place itself is welcoming, small & cozy. Seating is... More

This brewery is small, but very neat. We sat outside and enjoyed a few of their best beers. There was a band inside and the service was good. This is one of our favoritre breweries in the area. Worth a stop.

We went upon a recommendation from a local. No music, no interaction, no fun. The reason to go in the off season is the Inexpensive beer (3.25/pint)
