Scenic river tours were extremely organized and ran like a well oiled machine. Booking online was easy and efficient. Filling out the waivers online for our party of six was seamless. Directions for the day of were clear and concise. Once we arrived onsite, check in was smooth and prior to rafting the owner told us what to expect and the gear we would be given. Changing rooms, neoprene socks, tennis shoes and safety gear were all provided. A wet suit could be rented for an additional fee. Our guide, Jeremy, the river pirate” was extraordinarily knowledgeable and provided additional information on what to expect from our experience. I highly recommend him as he is amazing with children and told us upfront “if they go in, I go in.” I knew he meant it and our sons, 8 and 11 rode in the back of the boat next to him. He also entertained us with corny jokes, which my boys loved, and he asked thoughtful questions of us. He made the kids feel involved and like it was an adventure. Jeremy was an all around amazing guide, perfect for families and extremely passionate about his profession. We will definitely raft again with Scenic River Tours.

We had the BEST day on the Upper Taylor. 7 of us (family and friends) had quite an adventure on the class 3 rapids in the rain 😃. The rain added another level of beauty. This was our 4th year to go with Scenic and we always ask for our favorite guide, Colin. He not only makes you feel safe, he make the trip an adventure with some special moves on the river and a few good jokes to tell too😊. We will be back and we will ask for Colin again. I highly advise!

This is our third time white water rafting with SRT, so you can tell that they are good...we keep coming back!. This year, we signed up for a level 3 , 2 hour tour. Our guide, Jeremy, seemed to have a 6th sense for the river, and we floated as smoothly as you can when there's a section called pinball.
We were a little nervous about white water rafting during a cool spell in the weather. Fortunately, SRT keeps wetsuits and insulated socks in stock, and even managed to fit a guy, 6'3" and 260 LBS.
Safety procedures were well talked about before launching. Guide explained paddling commands, paddle safety, & teamwork.
By the time we finished, we were wet but wishing that we could keep going further down the river!

Nice job Scenic River Tours! Thank you so much, my family of 4 (mom, dad, two teenage boys) had a blast and a really great memory to take back to NY with us. As beginners, we felt like we were in really good hands with Riley, our guide (thank you Riley!…and Colin, who delivered the initial safety talk, which was super clear and most useful when we did in fact need to do a high side!). We did the upper Taylor extender (3 hours). We were so glad to have done the extender option because we weren’t ready to get out after 2 hours. We felt like the stretch we saw was a good combination of thrills and gentler stretches with stunning views. We would definitely recommend this rafting experience and Scenic River Tours who really delivered from start to finish.

This company totally has their “stuff” together.
Friendly, knowledgeable, trustworthy; from start to finish we received and were treated with complete professionalism!!
We had a mix-up over location and were running a few minutes behind schedule.
So when we arrived with an oversized truck pulling a trailer, our guide Bain Turnbo was immediately aware we needed a spotter in order to park quickly and efficiently based on space availability.
He handled it like a pro without even having to be asked.
This expression of a true service mentality not only exceeded our expectations (very rare “in any” industry these days) but it also set the stage for what we knew was
going to be a great family adventure over the remainder of the afternoon, rafting an upper section of the Taylor River.
Bain. Thanks for being superhuman. Because you put service first and because you chase your passion not your pension our trip was fantastic and we enjoyed every moment.
You have a great team you’re working with as well. Along the river and back at the shop it was great fun to see everyone working together and enjoying what they do in service to others. Keep it up!
We’ll certainly be back and recommend to others.

Scenic Rivers was awesome!! Our group had 2 rafts and we did the extended Gunnison River float. Angie and Patrick were great guides. Both did a great job making us feel comfortable and navigating the water. We had 3 adults and 5 kids (ranging from 9-16 years old) and I would definitely recommend them to families. Prices were very reasonable and it's worth the little bit extra to pay for the entender. Thanks for a great trip!!

Hey, river rafting enthusiasts - we were the last trip of the season. Wow-what a ride and had so much fun with the family. Colin (the best guide) made some really great moves on the rapids that made the trip so much more exciting. He had an incredible knowledge of safety. Knew the areas surrounding mountains and all the names for the rocks and upcoming rapids. Book it with Colin and you will be amazed.

We took the afternoon Extended Upper Taylor with Bain and he was PHENOMENAL!! He knew every rock, what twist and turn the river would make and which way our raft would go before we even got there. It was THRILLING and yet always felt safe. I highly recommend Scenic river tours and if you go....get Bain!! He’s the man!!!! It was a perfect family adventure.

What an excellent experience with a wonderful company! Ches took care of getting our large family signed up and Riley guided us with skill and care for even our smallest family members on their 1st rafting trip. The Lower Taylor was perfect for our kids to get their first taste of whitewater, and it left them all excited for more. Thanks for a great summer outing!

We went rafting with 7 people. All of the grown “kids” were on one raft with our guide Collin and the young ones 15,13, and 11 were all on another raft with their guide Bain (sp?). The weather was perfect even though it had rained earlier in the morning. We were there at 1-3pm and had a total blast. The turns and twists to the Taylor river were fun and we got wet plenty. Both guides let one of us choose to ride the bull (front tip of the raft) on some very exciting drops and they loved it. Only two of us chose to get wet suits and after one of us that didn’t have one broke out with a cold rash afterwards we probably should’ve all gotten them. The water was super cold, but to me was refreshing. In all, we had the best time and our guides were very experienced and fun to be with. The place was very accommodating and had shoes for you to wear in place of your own (recommended), a life jacket, wet suits (for extra $), a helmet, and neoprene socks. Everyone was kind and had great customer service. There was hand sanitizer provided and rain coats provided on the bus. Water was also provided before the trip. I would totally do it again. Loved it. *Advised to bring your own towels for drying off afterward and a place to put your wet clothes after with new ones to change into. They have lots of dressing rooms.

We do the all day float for about $95. Raft in the morning, then enjoy a great lunch on the river bank, the ducky/raft (sit on top kayaks) in the afternoon. I have been taking college students for over 6 years and they love it. Wetsuit is included with the price. Excellent customer service. Bring your own water and snacks if you like to munch.

Yes there is a photo package you can get at the end of your trip. There is a photographer that takes a picture with your family in the beginning. Then they run down the river to catch a few photos while you go down multiple rapids.

Do we have to wear wet suits? Or can we just wear shorts, t-shirts and water shoes or tennis shoes?

You do not have to wear wet suits! The best thing on the river is shorts and shoes that can get wet. However if it is raining or cold you may want to wear a wetsuit.
