We had lunch at this park. There are quite a few large chainsaw carved trees and cool playground equipment if you have young kids. The visitor's center is right next door.

Before leaving Gunnison, we took the kids here to play before driving off on Route 50. This park is located behind the visitors center. It has beautiful, wood hand carved benches and statures. Our kids enjoyed the stop and yours would too!

We visited the park twice during our visit to Gunnison: for their Sunday night outdoor concert, and then again for the 4th of July fireworks display. Our family of four really enjoyed this park. There was a lot of great playground equipment that appealed to kids of all ages. The park also had a basketball court, nice restrooms, and plenty... More

Grabbed subway sandwiches and spent a couple hours at the park, letting the kids run around and play. The main slide area was great, but there was also a separate (fenced) area for younger kids, swings, see-saws and similar things, as well as a climbing (bouldering) rock. Public restrooms were available and clean.

Kids needed to stretch their legs, and this park kept them moving the entire time. The tower of slides was loved by both the 6 yr old and the 3 year old.

It's been awhile since we were in Gunnison and they have added a terrific playground to the City Park. Huge tunnel slide along with several other small ones, a fun circular monkey bar, swings and a nice high turret for looking down at the adults. There are also a couple of adult bench swings along the edge of the playground... More

No need for the kids to ask how far it is once you arrive here. A climbing rock, slide, and playground equipment, a running stream (irrigation lateral), green grass and picnic tablse with shade. A public restroom and the Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center adjacent. Easy access to all the info on the area or a special service that... More
