Crested Butte's only guided off road tours! There is no better way to experience the unparalleled beauty of the Gunnison Country than from the comfort and safety of a legendary Jeep! Experience the majestic Elk Mountains surrounding Crested Butte, explore ghost towns in the vast alpine playground of Taylor Park or go “Rock Crawling” in the high desert steppe of Hartman Rocks outside Gunnison. You will see stunning vistas, wildflower filled meadows and waterfalls, all while learning about the unique history and geology of the Gunnison Country. Either ride along in our Jeep for follow behind in your own 4x4. JJ’s Jeeps Custom Guided Tours allows you to choose your own adventure! We cater our tours to meet our clients’ individual needs. Just tell us the sights you want to see, how “extreme” you want to get, what your time frame is and where you’re staying, and we’ll make it happen! Open from May 15th till October 31st.

Too many great things to say about Jeremy and JJ's Jeeps in such a short space. Jeremy is the ultimate professional! He actually customizes his tours based on your interests...it is NOT a cookie cutter trip! As a "Jeeper" myself, I can tell he is a master of all things Jeep on and off-road...really makes you comfortable and makes you feel you are in good hands. Jeremy is also a long-time resident of the area and as such, is prolific in his knowledge of the area and the sites he guides his customers to. Some great history in the Gunnison/Crested Butte area and he knows his stuff! I cannot wait to go back and have him customize another tour of another great area. He is personable and his communication before and during the tour is phenomenal! Just a hard-working, smart dude that has a fantastic product and service!

Had a great adventure with Scott of JJ's Jeeps! Went on a 3+ hour off rood loop ride above Altmont CO to view the Extraordinary wild flower boom currently underway in the Crested Butte area. The floral show on this trip was incredible, with literally millions of flowers on display. The drive was technically challenging for Scott and exhilarating for my wife and I, which made for a very interesting experience. Saw a cinnamon bear along the way! Many bluebirds and several Coopers Hawks observed. Scott was very knowledgeable regarding the wildflowers and the area in general.

Just took a fantastic 4 wheel tour of the Elk Mountains, Gothic and tons of wildflower viewing courtesy of JJ. He took us to places we would never have seen and navigated the mining and mountain roads with ease. The wildflowers were amazing but JJ's knowledge of the geological formations and history of the area is even more amazing. The roads were rough but the 4WD Cherokee navigated with ease and certainly was a lot more comfortable than a Razor or ATV. 3 hours flew by like minutes and we hated for it to end.
JJ operates custom tours in the Gunnison/Crested Butte area so we might just look him up again when back in the area and see if we can explore some more!

We called JJ's for an afternoon ride and were really impressed with Jeremy. Arrived on time in a great mood and made for a really fun afternoon in the mountains. Our tour was about three hours long which was perfect and we saw more in three hours than in a month of hiking Crested Butte (do both though). Jeremy really knows his stuff and was really fun to be with for three hours, great music, just a really enjoyable way to spend a morning or afternoon.

We had a GREAT experience using JJ's Jeeps! Our tour took us to areas which we never would have experienced. Jeremy, our guide, was knowledgeable, courteous, and very safety conscious. Besides taking us to breathtaking venues he was a constant source of the very interesting history of the area near Crested Butte and of the flora & fauna in the area. All of this at a very reasonable price. If you haven't decided on a guided tour yet you should definitely give strong consideration to JJ's Jeeps. You won't regret your decision.

We did a drive-your-own vehicle tour with Jeremy and JJ Jeeps and it was awesome! We did Pearl Pass which has numerous technical elements. The tour exceeded my expectations! He did an excellent job of helping me pick lines through the technical and tricky parts of the road. He also shared history and other information about the area. Our dog also loved playing chase at Pearl Lake with Jeremy's dog. It was a delightful day in the beauty of the Rockies. Doing this trip was on my bucket list and my list is now growing with other 4-wheel drive adventures to do with Jeremy and JJ Jeeps!

Jeremy, the owner and our guide, was very personable and was knowledgeable about the area and history of the area. My wife and I went to Colorado to see the Aspens in the Fall. Jeremy gave us a great tour and we definitely saw some beautiful scenery from high up in the mountains! I would highly recommend a jeep tour with J.J.'s Jeeps in Gunnison, Colorado!

We advised Jeremy that we are seniors and did not want an "extreme jeep" experience. He tailored our tour to accommodate us. Jeremy's knowledge of the history of each area we visited, of the flora, the geology, etc. made for a very interesting and informative tour. Not to mention the stunning views!! Had we not booked this tour we would have missed the absolute beauty of the area. This jeep tour was the highlight of our stay in Gunnison and we would highly recommend it.

Highlight of our Girl’s Trip! JJ’s knowledge of all things nature is impressive. His experienced driving skills allowed us to reach heights for majestic views of the Elk Mountain Range we had never seen before. His communication skills are excellent so he personalized the tour to our comfort level. We laughed all day long! We highly recommend JJs Jeep Tours!

We had a great time on our Jeep tour around the Taylor Park area! We had a group of 8, so we had 2 jeeps. Jeremy and Scott came and picked us up at our campground. Jeremy told us the history of the area as we went and was very knowledgeable and pleasant. The views were incredible and we got to see some old mining camps, as well as rainbows!! Jeremy was very easy to work with and we all loved the trip! We would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting the area looking for adventure and amazing views!! Thanks Jeremy and Scott!!
