We would like to give a huge shout out to the men and women running the tours out of Biscayne National Park! We booked a snorkel trip (for what would turn out to be the Friday of the shutdown) and were worried about what would...More

I think our guide was Teri. She was perfect for the job. Knowledgeable, informative, laid back but very efficient. We got in all the snorkeling and paddle boarding we could handle. I highly recommend this eco-tour

I went with my teenagers on a day trip to the mangroves and a bit of snorkeling. Paddleboarding in the mangroves I was great but the snorkeling was not good. We saw almost no fish and could not go to the reef. The guide was...More

Sorry that we were not able to get to the reef the day of your visit. That only happens when the wind and wave conditions make it unsafe for us to go to the reef. We monitor the real time conditions on the reef with...More

We took the Boca Chita Island Experience as a family of four: my wife and I and our young adult children. We saw wildlife, toured the island and its historic lighthouse, and learned a great deal about the history of the area from the informative...More

My girlfriend and I went on a snorkeling trip organized by the institute and we had an amazing time! Despite the shutdown, our guides took us out to the mangroves in Biscayne Bay on a beautiful day. From start to finish, they assisted us with...More

My favorite excursion of all offered by the institute but wish they offered a longer trip (even just an hour longer) to give us more time to just hang out in one of the lagoons to float above, admire and enjoy sea life beneath. The...More

We wanted to snorkel but those trips were cancelled due to wind which didn't appear very significant. Instead we went to Boka Chika to see the lighthouse and learn a bit about its history which was mildly interesting. The boat ride was loud and fast,...More

We took both the snorkeling tour and the boat trip to Boca Chita. Terrific guides. Loved every minute of it.

We enjoyed the boat ride to the island and it was narrated by a park ranger. While at the island we climbed the lighthouse for a beautiful view and enjoyed exploring at the small sand and coral beach.

We participated in the paddle board, snorkeling, and Boca Chita Island excursions and were delighted with each experience. Jeremy, Dan, Michelle, Castle, Casey, and one other (?) were outstanding guides. They were knowledgeable about the local history and passionate about their responsibility to the areas...More

We do rent shorty wetsuits and recommend them in the winter months. If the weather works to get to the reef the water is in the mid 70's. Bayside snorkel water temperature fluctuates due to the shallowness of the water... More
