We went out yesterday with Captain James for the full day trip on the center console boat. First, the captain was skilled, friendly, and extremely knowledge. I’m a science and history nerd, and James’s knowledge of the local history and ecology was impressive. It made the trip more robust than just snorkeling and paddle boarding. The first stop was Jones lagoon where we paddled for a while (even 70 year old grandma got it done!). He was kind and patient and very relaxed. The kids learned even more about the local flora and fauna than they already do as native Floridians. Then we hit Adams Key for a quick lunch, and off to snorkeling at the Anniversary Reef. James made an effort to explain the current and chose a reef where we would be comfortable given the conditions (which were great but with a current). The reef was vibrant with healthy forests of soft corals and an array of juvenile fish. I’m not a fan of snorkeling in Florida because bleaching events are so apparent and depressing but this reef looked great. We snorkeled for about an hour. This was a great day for our family, and in the midst of COVID a great way to spend a day outside safely. Going with a guide who knows the area and the park made the trip even better. Highly recommend!

My daughters (14 and 17) and I had a great experience with Captain Jeremy. Prior to leaving the dock we were treated to seeing a few manatees! The winds were favorable and we were able to sail in both directions across Biscayne Bay. Due to Covid19, we had a private tour which was great for us. The girls learned about sailing, assisted with hoisting the sails and had the opportunity to sail the boat. The snorkeling was in the mangroves which is not the typical snorkeling most expect, but the environment was fantastic. We saw a small shark and lots of other fish. We learned a lot about the ecology and history of the area that we otherwise would have never known. Great trip!

One of the best park visits I've ever had- snorkeling was gorgeous but the best part was the Jones Lagoon Eco-Adventure- I really appreciated how intentional and thoughtful the park staff were about sharing the history of the park, and in particular the role of (unsung) individuals in contributing to its conservation, as well as the unique attributes of mangroves.

We did the 3 hour paddle board tour through Jones Lagoon with guide James. We had the tour to ourselves and it was an incredible experience. James was very knowledgeable and we learned a lot!The water was gentle and clear and we were able to see lots of wildlife. It was a very unique experience to paddle near the mangrove trees and through the tunnels. I would recommend this experience to those who like an active experience.

When COVID19 prevented the group tours, Harold offered a custom tour, which was way better than I could have ever anticipated with a group. Captain Castle took me to all seven Stiltsville houses, all three lighthouses and we even stopped on Elliott Key so I could take a look at Spite Highway. We also saw a great white heron, s manatee and a couple of sea turtles. Captain Castle shared interesting facts about what we saw. I highly recommend!
