    If Andrea is Your Guide….
We were not sure what to expect seeing the Coral Castle in Homestead, FL. But we were fortunate to have Andrea as our tour guide. She made this small place very interesting and seem so special. She used to play there when it was open as a park in the community. Now it has new owners and is preserved for its history. There is a good video to watch while you are there for more information. This guy that created this was an interesting fellow and was rather smart to do all that he did … but it’s sad that it came from a broken heart. Had we done this on our own, we probably would have spent maybe 20 minutes here, but with our tour guide, we learned so much more and enjoyed it more than we expected.

    More than a surprise
After paying admission and looking around, we were almost ready to ask for a refund. HOWEVER, after the 1 hour guided tour brought the history, and the man, alive, this was a really interesting, almost fascinating site. Much more than meets the eye.!!!!

Coral Castle is always on TV~ had to go!
Ancient Aliens, & Ghost of flight 401 in Prime Video, Billy Idol plus many more have visited here and tried to figure out the mysteries to this crazy cool location. So with that said it's a must while your in the area to see the Everglades and Biscayne. After you purchase the tickets you can sit and watch 3 short films about this location before or even after your Tour will begin. We has Andrea and she had an amazing perspective since she visited this place when she was a child and got to see the park in working order. You can not sit on the chair any more nor do they rock, you can not move the large door with your finger anymore since it doesn't work, and sunbathing bed that used to rotate doesn't work. But the telescope, well and the Sundial still work perfectly. Andrea was our guide and took lots of time to go over each and every structure and the purpose and how possible they got there and moved into place and formed.

    Beautiful and interesting
Very nice tour and so interesting. Movie on the history and a walking tour, scooters allowed for the elderly but not very big so we didn't use it. You can self explore and take pictures. Very nice! We went around the corner to Shivers BBQ for late lunch. Long picnic tables and amazing food! Save room for the peach cobbler, the best ever!!

    An unexpected entertaining experience.
Unexpectedly, this was an entertaining experience. I think the $18 per person is very well worth the admission. Andrea, our official Coral Castle tour guide, was pretty great. She was professional, funny, and just a great speaker and story teller. I am sure she made the difference making our visit to CC to be awesome. Make sure you check the weather because this is an outdoor experience.

    Loved Coral Castle!
Great trip. CORAL CASTLE was informative, well kept, clean & had lots of places to sit under shade trees to keep cool. Umbrellas were available for use in case of rain. The movie before the tour was impossible to see or hear since it was outside under a tent with loud fans running constantly. Souvenires were unmarked as to prices & very expensive when rung up. Snacks were available for purchase. Lots of FREE parking.

    A must see hidden gem.
A must see hidden gem! We were on our way to the Keys and took some time to stop and check this out! A very cool surprise. We had a great tour guide who explained what we were looking at! A very well maintained place with a cool history and mystique of how and why it was built by a single man, small in stature, in the middle of the night!!

    Interesting place
We just went for a quick Saturday morning outing. The castle is interesting with a fascinating historic background. It is well kept and the staff is knowledgeable. It would ve nice if they offered some sort of senior discount… Recommended for tourists and locals as well.

    Tales behind the mystery
What a magical place! To truly understand how amazing this place is, you have to understand the history and story behind the man who built it, and that's what you'll get when visiting the Castle. The tour starts with a video on the history and the builder, Ed Leedskalnin, and then you follow an expert that walks you through the Castle, explaining background stories and what inspired the different parts of the Castle. Our guide, Andrea, was amazing! She knew so much about the place and got us excited about the tales behind the mystery.

    Intriguing and Unique
Coral Castle is a fascinating place, showcasing incredible craftsmanship by a single man. The tour was informative and the stories added to the mystery. Although the admission felt a bit pricey, it’s a unique spot worth visiting if you’re in Miami.

The Coral Castle is a mildly interesting roadside attraction but the staff and strict rules make this place miserable. We visited during spring break and were crammed into this place with a group of 40 or so people. The tour guide was trying her best to shout to the whole group but it was difficult for the people in back to be engaged in the tour and impossible for us to see what she was talking about. Everything is roped off and there is no touching of anything (signs and warning everywhere). Several of us wandered a short distance away from the group to walk around and see some of the carvings/sculptures and were abruptly reprimanded to stay with the group. We were courteous but he was completely inflexible and a bit confrontational. We were still within eyesight of the group (the place is not large inside at all). We paid $48 for our family of 3 to get in and left 10 minutes into the tour. The parking lot featured a security guard with a clip board writing down license plates. I am not sure why this place feel so adversarial. It is completely understood that the carvings should be respected and not climbed on or otherwise abused but this place is ridiculously overprotective of these fairly rough stone sculptures.

First off they would not accept their coupon from a visitors book that didn’t have any expiration date. Wouldn’t give senior rate either, we had to pay full price while dodging lots of “models” and film crew doing a “photo shoot” that day! Plus for the price it was very underwhelming and disappointing. The tour guide lady was very strange and her presentation was annoying and stupidly dramatic. So sad we wasted our time!

My wife and I visited the Coral Castle on our recent visit to Homestead. The Coral Castle was built by Ed Leedskalnin in the early 20th Century. Ed built the Coral Castle as a monument to his lost love. He built it out of stone quarried on-site. He constructed the Castle out of multi-ton stones that he moved by himself. He often worked secretly and at night. The Castle is full of all kinds of interesting items including a 9 ton revolving gate, an astronomical stone that points toward the North Star, a large heart-shaped stone table, a bath tub, and many other unusual and beautiful items. The Coral Castle has a unique and fascinating beauty.
Our visit included a guided tour. Our tour guide, Andrea, was very good. She was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. She seemed to really enjoy sharing the Coral Castle with us. She did a great job.
I can think of two drawbacks to our visit. Although our tour guide was terrific not all of the employees were as friendly and enthusiastic. Some others were a bit grumpy. Second is the price. It is a little more expensive than I think it should be. Of course this is my subjective opinion, but I paid less to get into other more extensive tours and locations on this same trip. Even though I think the price was higher than it should be we did really enjoy the visit and we are glad we went.

When we first arrived and were told to join a tour in progress, we felt like asking for our money back as things seem to be disorganized and the tour guide seem to lack interest. We waited for the start of the next tour and watched a very informative video while waiting. Our guide was excellent. Learning the history of the place and how it was built makes it something very special. One really has to make their own decision is it worth it. In the end we were happy we visited the Coral Castle and got a true feeling of what took place to construct it. The Miami Zoo is not far from it so you may want to combine both.

Granted, the $18 admission fee is a bit steep, but we had very energetic and enthusiastic guides, and you can spend more time on your own after the tour. Interesting story of Ed, the builder, quite a determined and eccentric little man he was. Loved the masonic influences and astronomical facts. Didn't know what to expect and was quite sceptical, but enjoyed every minute of our stay. Met a lovely couple who visited again after 60 years, she moved the "gate" rock again, just as she did 60 years prior, but the "door" rock no longer can be moved (she still could swing the door 60 years ago). Even the chairs still rocked back then. They told us some stories the tour guides back then told, even more detailed than now.

I’m in Miami for 44 days of cancer treatment. I had family in town and was looking for something to keep them entertained with. Being a ghost tour guide in Key West that tells a tale of another strange man in love with a young woman, I’ve been asked about this story a lot. So, this seemed like the perfect opportunity to experience it first hand.

The guide, Andrea was great. She was very passionate about her job, her storytelling skills are impressive, and she is very interactive with her guests. Although the story does have some questionable moral parts to it, she tells it in a way that only adults will understand. If you have kids, don’t worry, they won’t know what she is talking about if they don’t already know. She was very energetic for someone working in the sun all day telling the same story over and over. I would definitely hire her for my tour.

You do have to take the tour. You cannot just walk around self guided. That is because they are understaffed and no one is available to watch over the area. But really, without the tour and story, what’s the point? You are able to break away from the tour in a nearby shaded area to sit and get out of sun if needed.

Pictures are encouraged, video and live streaming is not allowed. Which makes sense. They are in the business of making money, not giving free on line tours.

A lot has changed recently. There is a lot that you used to be able to do, that you cannot anymore. One thing that you definitely cannot do is touch the coral. But, as a Key Wester, that rule is kind of a “duh” rule to me anyway. Sad that we have to tell grown adults about that and why.

The price is a little high. A little more than I was expecting. But hearing such a strange story told in a compelling manner makes it mostly worth it.

If I had family or a group with me in town again and needed something fun to do, I’d return and do it again.

We decided to stop at this location just to check out a local tourist stop and we weren’t disappointed. Our tour guide was very informative and truly seemed to enjoy his job and telling us about the structure. Such a neat thing to see and imagine all the work that went into creating these sculptures. The downside is it is a little pricey.

I nice little stop to kill an hour or so on the way from the keys back to Miami. The walk through the grounds are with a guide only and tours start every 30 minutes. You CAN TAKE PHOTOS. Just no video. And you must stay with your guide very intetesting story. I now need to watch some YouTube videos about the place to learn more... a bit pricey $18 but so is everything when you are on vacation stayed 1 hour.

The people who work there are pushy and rude which ruined the interesting story and experience. They force you to take their big awful black umbrellas for shade. I didn’t need it as I live in South Florida but they made me take one. I ended up carrying it around but never opening it. Then, they followed us around and kept saying things like, “Remember, these umbrellas are just for use in the park; you must return them.” As if I want to keep this ginormous umbrella that you forced upon me. There was a video that they showed before you go into the park that showed the history but they wouldn’t let us see it first. Instead, they insisted we join a tour where we missed the first 15 minutes of it. After the tour that we missed the first half of, we finally got to go back out to the beginning and watch the video which presented the history and mystery behind the attraction so much better than their tour guide had. After actually getting the history of it we wanted to go back in and see the structures again and take pictures but when we did we were accosted by this super annoying woman who kept trying to talk to us instead of letting us talk to each other and just take pictures. She wouldn’t let us just take in the views in peace but kept saying inane things about their stupid umbrellas and “You should come here and meditate under the trees.” Like I would ever drive all the way there and spend $20 per person just to sit under their tree to meditate as if there are no other shady trees anywhere else. We certainly were not dealing with the A team of employees here. It was overpriced for what it was and maybe if they had fewer annoying and rude people working there, they could price it more reasonably.

Interesting outdoor castle made of limestone and coral. The sundial and bath are very unique, he created chairs, tables, walls, stones that can pivot around with just one hand. I've never seen something like this. A bit pricey $19+ for any one over 12.
