Like just about everybody else I saw the Coral Castle on Ancient Aliens. On the way to Key West we decided to stop and see it for ourselves. The price is ok. $15 per person for a guided tour that lasts about 45 minutes is fair by today’s standards. The tour was interesting and the guides are knowledgeable and friendly. There really isn’t a whole lot to it. The place is a lot smaller than I expected but I’d say it was worth going. I mean, for $15 you can barely get a decent lunch. If you’re passing by this is definitely worth a stop. I wouldn’t go too far out of the way but it is a nice diversion on the way to Key West. Oh, and it doesn’t look like alien technology had anything to do with the building of the castle, in case you were wondering...

Maybe not worth $15 but if you like conspiracies, for sure worth it for you. If it wasn’t on our way, we probably wouldn’t have stopped. Not something I’d go to a second time. But, glad we did stop.

I had seen a documentary on this place only recently on the Discovery channel, so it was a treat to be able to visit the place myself. Apparently it is still a mystery how the chap managed to move all the massive stone blocks by himself with only a basic wooden crane tripod. The gift shop has quite a selection of things. There is a fridge full of drinks and ice creams (pay first in the shop). There are unbrellas to shield yourself from the sun. The guides are very knowledgable. The place is quite small but having took the tour you are free to wander around and have a look at the various artifacts yourself.

Great family stop on way to Key West, dog friendly....We spent about two hours at the Coral Castle, Ed’s story of love loss, persistence, hard work, and ingenuity. Definitely worth the price of admission.
