This park was so lovely and now it looks so sad. The city is working on getting some funds to fix it and make it even better than it was. They hope to add a splash park and new restrooms. Hopefully, it will happen!

This was once an excellent place to go. But now it seem over run with homeless people. I wouldn't allow my wife and kids to go alone. The police patrol as often as they can, but they can't be there all the time. Back in...More

I was looking forward to visiting the park, perhaps with lunch and a book. When I looked up the park for directions, Google shows the park permanently closed. Trip Advisor had reviews, but nothing about closure. My husband and I drove past after dinner. It...More

Why go here, there is nothing here. Once a year the 4th of July party is here other than that there is no reason to come here.

Went here for a break in the day. The park is nice, small but nicely kept. Only a few people there when we were there. One person was fishing and it sounds like you can catch some fish there, mostly cat fish. I think it...More

This park is behind city hall adjacent to the port. It's nice they carved a park out of the area so people can take a break from the office. You can see a ship docked nearby and trains running regularly passed it. Definitely one of...More

Peaceful and interesting. There is even a boat trip that goes up and down the Neches if you can schedule yourself a spot on it. It's operated by Lamar University. Lovely place.

We were here last weekend and the area is quite lovely. I will say however that I drive a wheelchair accessible van and there was NO way I was going over those railroad tracks! So they are quite treacherous. BUT... you can park in the...More

This is a great place to let kids run off extra energy. The playground equipment is a wooden maze of all kinds of activities.

Picnic tables, shady ramadas, trees, green lawns and a nice paved path lined with benches are all in great shape in this easy to access park. You do NOT have to cross the train tracks to enter this park as stated in another review. There...More
