My grandson works at Gator Country, so it's natural to take out-of-town guests there. Biology students serve as externs, learning about reptiles native to southeast Texas as well as more exotic crocodilians. The great-grandchildren were able to interact with baby alligators (snouts taped shut) for a short time. Care is taken to keep visitors and reptiles safe. Snacks, cold drinks,... More

We were visiting family in Port Arthur and we were looking for somethig to do. Boy are we glad we decided on this!. We did a boat tour of a swamp along with the adventure park. That was one of the most educational and fun trips ever. Our boat captian Damon Bailey was terrific. He is so knowlegable about all... More

We always wanted to visit a gator farm and couldn't have picked a better one. It's not a farm but a rescue. See alligators get fed! See the amazing Mr. Arlie do tricks with the huge "Big Al!" And after all that, stick around for a great presentation that will open your mind to the world of alligators and beyond.... More

The bridge over the gator pond needs to be replaced, but they appear to be working on it. The only thing between you and the alligators is an unlocked chain link fence and for the smaller ones inside is just a sign saying don't touch. Our 3 year old behaved but it was not without a couple of attempts to... More

This place is so worth the trip. The gators are well taken care of, plentiful, and HUGE. They are knowledgeable about all the wildlife here and there's tons of walking and animals to see. The wading with the little alligators was the coolest thing ever. My two year old fricken loved it. It was a great memory.

It's not Disney World, BUT it is very cool. Up close and personal with Gators. Something to do that's different. Lots of great photo ops. My kids even wrestled with a live alligator. Trip Advisor asks when we traveled, our date was not an option. We were there in Nov. 2004.

If you love any sort of reptile this place is great! The staff were really friendly and knowledgeable allowed us to hold all different types of animals and even allowed us to watch up close a couple of new gators being brought to the park from rescues. Overall so much fun for all ages. They have a real love for... More
