It rained on and off for a few days before we went to Big Bend. The creek had water and you had to be careful crossing some spots. There are rocks/logs to step on but some were pretty slick so be careful. Worse case scenario-...More

Nice hike. I went with my 2 brothers and we hustled through it in less then 2 hours as it started to rain. See my Fitbit map in pictures if interested. Mostly down hill going down, so uphill back. The end is cool, there are...More

Easy trail till you get down to window. Cross over water several times. Was here after rain. Steep climb back to parking area, at end of hike.

This is a review of the longer Window Trail which leads to the actual window in the Chisos Basin. The trail is about 2 miles long (one way) from the Campground or 2.5 miles long from the Basin Lodge area. The trail is downhill going...More

This is a photo stop at sunset and a trail you definitely want to walk. Lots of wildlife at sunset makes this trail popular and sometimes crowded.

Can't beat the sunset view trough the Window. The trail is not too challenging and we made it back to the lodge before it got too dark. Easy access from the Chisos mountain Lodge.

Great hike with fantastic view at the end (the window). Also, near the end of the trail is an offshoot trail (to the left on the return trip) that is well worth taking for more views and a hike along the rim. It is a...More

We were pleasantly surprised at the landscape as we hiked down into the low areas. It reminded us of the hill country. Lots of trees and birds singing along the way.

Great views! It was a short walk, 0.4 mile on paved walkway so great for handicap people. The visit center was small but ok.

We stayed 2 nights at Chisos Mountain Lodge which itself provides an excellent view of "The Window". We also took this easy trail about a half mile to an even better view. The sunset is gorgeous looking through the Window.

No. Sorry just seeing this. Too many ways for a dog to get hurt. Also everywhere are warnings about bears and mountain lions. We have a hiking dog but I would never take her to being bend!
