This little park, tucked in behind a residential community, is one of my favorite spots in the world. It is quiet and beautiful and it feels you can see forever. Looking over the Rio Grande on one side and with a view of waterfalls in...More

This is a hidden sight - out of White Rock, NM. You can see the valley below - including the Rio Grande River and the Rio Grande Gorge and all around - so pretty and "massive" - the great land of New Mexico.

We stopped by the White Rock Visitors center and a very nice person said we should not miss the view from the overlook. She was so correct and gave us a map to find the spot. Take sometime and enjoy such a great view.

A spectacular view of the Rio Grande, just a short diversion away from Los Alamos. As someone who is a little anxious about heights I was generally okay with it.

A free and easy walk to a stupendous view. What could be better than that? Just type in the address in your Google Maps and you'll find it. After driving through relatively flat landscapes, this high view of the river is a welcome change.
