I researched native art venues when planning our trip to the Badlands with our 10 year old granddaughter. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and found many treasures.

This is a wonderful shop, selling authentic wares, near the Badlands Visitor Center. Don’t miss it!

Small business, locally owned, selling native products.

There are many places in the Badlands with stuff you can buy to remember your trip. But save your tourist budget for places like this. Besides filling such an important niche as an outlet for Native American artisans, it’s a locally run, independent business which is so crucial in our corporate minded age. And most importantly, the store is filled with beautiful art that’s hard to leave behind!

I reviewed Native West several years ago. I really liked what it stood for. Returning to visit a small business after several years, one never knows how time will treat it.I am happy to say the store is vibrant. It is a cultural marketplace, allowing the local Sioux artists an opportunity to show and sell their artwork. It is important to local commerce and culture. If you collect native art, this is where to shop- absolutely authentic, since you are at the source, great pricing.

It has a wonderful selection of local Sioux Native American art and jewelry but also includes items from other tribes.

What a treat to find a shop that carries items created by local artists at reasonable prices and that's just a sample of what they offer. From locally made Native American ceremonial costumes & vintage 1950's cap guns (That work! I tried one!) to an entire wall of already broken-in western boots, an amazing selection of handmade jewelry, purses, moccasins and MORE! If you can't find something you can't live without, well .... you haven't looked hard enough!

Stopped in here to see native American art work. The unique, one of a kind items are countless. I enjoyed that the store offers supplies like beads and furs. The owner was very knowledgeable.

A small place full of all kinds of beautiful bead work & handmade art; the owner is in the process of adding onto the existing building. The owner was helpful & nice to talk with; if we're in the area again, I would love to stop back in after their addition is finished.

One of the most beautiful little shops I've ever seen. Driving highway 44 was awesome anyway (way better than I-90), and this stop made it even more worth while. The prices are reasonable for local, handmade Native arts and crafts, and the selection is wide. The employee was also very kind. If you're going to get a genuine souvenir from South Dakota, this is one place where you won't go wrong.

Right in Interior, just outside the Pine Ridge Reservation. Specialized in local artists. Wide selection & no touristy trinkets!
