My instruction with Sylvi and staff is a family tradition. I had instruction with her, along with my 2 girls. One ended up on the HS mountain bike team and the other one now rides in HI. Riding in Moab is an experience that you will not get anywhere else, and to ride with confidence and safety is paramount. Sylvi's team is knowledgeable and kind. Lots of laughs and beautiful scenery is to be had.

If I could give this a higher rating than 5, I would. My wife and I spent 4 hours in a private lesson with Beth. We do tons of road biking, but are just crossing over to MTB. Starting from the ground up she did a perfect build up of our skills. By the end, I was rolling things I never thought I'd do. It was an unbelievable amount of progress for such a short time investment. The next day I went out with more advanced friends and hit some amazing trails that had never been an option for me before. I could write a ton more, but suffice to say, we were thrilled at our experience. I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

My husband and I recently had a 3-hour private lesson with Sylvi, who was joined by Jeff - a coach in training. Sylvi came highly recommended from two different couples. We booked ahead of time and was sent a questionnaire asking about our skill set and what we wanted to work on. We have been riding for several years but after Sylvi confirmed that we had never taken lessons, she started off with her safety check list ... and I quickly learned that I needed to adjust my helmet and brakes. I really appreciated the instruction and demonstrations on WHY we should use certain techniques, such as only using one finger on the brake (no, not because you might brake too hard but because you have better control of the bike). At one point she also videoed us so we could see what position we were in when we went over the drop. We met at the bike park which allowed us to work on a variety of skills. Sylvi and Jeff were always very positive and emphasized not only safety but that mountain biking should be fun. They really took the time to tailor the lesson to our needs, we had a great time and can't recommend them highly enough!! We were able to put our new skills in practice immediately the next day on our ride.

My son came down with the flu as soon as we arrived in Moab for a spring break trip. Our plans were shot and we lost a few days of planned activities. So very last minute, I called Moab Mountain Bike Instruction to see if they could get me out on the famous Moab trails while my son rested up. After a couple of calls, they arranged everything for that day. They lined me up with a bike rental, met me there, and took me out riding within hours of my call. They hooked me up with Tyler who is super nice, intelligent, knowledgeable, and patient. I’ve never mountain biked before and hadn’t even been on a bike in a while. But thanks to his careful and systematic teaching, I was able to tackle a trail and get a taste of what it’s all about, all while enjoying the incredible beauty of the surroundings. I had a great time that day and learned a ton. Hope to get back there some day and I would definitely want to spend more time learning from the folks at Moab Mountain Bike Instruction.

I just finished the most awesome lesson with Tyler of MMBI! We started in the Moab Mtn Bike Park and focused on skill building. Turns, pumping, small jumps, bike handling and dynamics! In a couple of hours, my skill set improved, and my confidence increased. We moved on to the Slick Rock Trail which is challenging but with Tyler as a role model and guide it was an amazing ride. I only wish I had more time in Moab for another lesson. I will be back! If you are a Mtn Bike enthusiast or want to give it a try come to Moab for the MMBI!!!
