This was like nothing me and my family had ever done before. Dave was a great driver and guide and it was interesting to learn that he himself built the vehicle we were in. We have 3 girls ages 5, 8, 10 and they all loved it and felt safe. This was not the least expensive option we researched but when you are out on the Hells Revenge track, other groups stop to watch the Xtreme 4X4 vehicles go through and handle tough obstacles. Don't bother with Jeeps or Hummer tours, they seem to have a boring experience compared to what this tour offers.

You are right, we are not the cheapest option for an off-road tour in Moab, but you get what you pay for! We had a fun and exciting drive in our U-drive 4x4 Hell's Revenge trip. Our guide, Aaron, was a great leader, easy going and some joking around but serious about safety and ensuring the whole group of 4x4's had a great time on these exciting slick rock and sand trails by Moab. We'd definitely use this adventure company again to do this or another 4x4 rental. This trip met or exceeded our expectations, which were already high based on many other reviews we had previously read. We did a sunset trip which provided great views from atop the river valley and hills.

My husband and I booked the backcountry Xtreme tour when we arrived in Moab! I was nervous but as soon as we got going the nerves turned into pure excitement. Dave was our guide and he was a blast! He kept us on our toes and knew everyone up on “Hell’s Revenge”! We tackled “Hell’s Gate”, “The Escalator” and “Mickey’s Hot Tub”. This excursion is a must do in Moab and I highly recommend using Xtreme 4x4 Guided tours rather than driving yourself!!! We will definitely do this again when we come back.

We had an absolutely unforgettable experience with Xtreme 4x4 Tours! They are easily the most experienced group out there and they know the terrain better than anyone. The other groups literally lined up to watch these guys navigate the scariest climbs with ease. When others were stuck, these guys sailed through. We had a huge windstorm while we were out there and my family felt completely safe the whole time. These guys and their custom rigs are easily the most epic tour group in Moab! Book them!

I read the reviews before booking this tour for our group of 9 - 4 adults and 5 kids aged 9-13 and the reviews were pretty much spot on. Everyone had a great time and these guys are the best of the best. Dave and Garrett were our drivers and both were extremely knowledgeable, personable and fun. They have a true passion for what they do and have a bunch of interesting stories to share. As other reviews said, this is the tour that the other tours watch and take pictures of. We had a group of 12 people taking pictures of us on some of the obstacles. We also came upon a stuck vehicle on Escalator and our driver got out and helped them maneuver their way up and out of the obstacle. If you want the best of the best, this is the ride for you. Even our friend that had wanted to drive himself had a great time and appreciated what these incredible rock crawlers and talented drivers could do. Thanks Dave & Garrett. We had a great time!

This was a great tour, highly recommend a guided tour for a first visit; it would be extremely easy to get lost in Hell's Revenge, especially without cellular network signal. Aaron the guide was very knowledgeable regarding the landscapes, provided water for guests and also added a lot of touches to make the experience a lot of fun. We had a blast driving the UTV; the level is good for probably most people; the terrain is challenging enough to really get the adrenaline pumping. I would say the length of the tour is perfect for most people and doing the sunset tour is a great idea to avoid the blistering heat of the afternoon; it doesn't go dark until after 9pm anyway. Overall a brilliant experience worth the money!

Taking the buggy tour with Dave is one of the coolest things I have ever done. If you’re looking to do real off-roading, don’t waste your time looking at any other company. Dave knows the trails in Moab inside and out and he quite literally will drive them forwards, backwards, and sideways. On this tour you actually get to go through all the obstacles and difficult trails that the other groups just stop and take pictures of. Whether you are really into off-roading and just can’t get your ride all the way to Moab, or have never left the pavement in your life, you won’t want to miss this tour. My wife was a little nervous about the ride and Dave made sure she felt safe the entire time while still tackling all the crazy stuff that I was hoping for. On top of getting to go on such a cool adventure, expect great conversation and some history on the area. You can tell Dave is passionate about what he does and wants to give you the best experience possible. You won’t regret this tour at all. Oh, and Dave’s 4 year old rides the tough trails in the buggy all the time. Don’t let him be cooler than you ;)

If you are reading this, you are probably facing the same situation/decision we had just a few days ago. Trying to decide where to go to book an off-road tour? Look no further!!!
We (my wife, two teenage kids, and I) made it to Moab a little later than we planned. We called Xtreme 4x4 tours and we were able to join the U-Drive 4x4 tour that evening. Their facility is clean and staff was very kind and personable. We actually bought a few t-shirts before our trip and tossed them on our car.
The tour left promptly at 630pm and, after a brief commute on a couple streets, we stopped in the parking lot leading to the petrified sand dunes. At this point, our guide Aaron rechecked everyone and the vehicles and continually added humor throughout the tour.
From the moment we left the parking lot, the tour was undeniably spectacular. Although there were some pretty radical hills and descents, the UTVs worked flawlessly. We stopped at a few places along the tour to take some spectacular images of the terrain and sunsets. Aside from providing a historical background of the geology, Aaron also provided ice cold bottle water and snacks. Truly, the perfect guide.
There are no words, adjectives, or images to accurately depict this tour.
Lastly, if you have any apprehension about operating the UTVs, we had VERY limited experience. Also, our tour had a multitude of ages, which ranged from 14 (our son) to a couple who were likely in their 70s and they had no issues driving or riding in the UTVs. Our kids continually asked if/when we go back to Moab, if we can do it again.
If you’ve read all of this, I would encourage you to book with XTreme 4x4. WHEN we go back, we will take another tour with them.

Do Not choose another company for your 4x4 adventure. This IS the one to go on ! The drivers are safe, knowledgeable, and will give you a great experience. My daughter (19) and I (54yr female) can not stop talking about how much fun it was. Had we not be leaving the next morning we would've gone again ! We did the sunset tour and it was surreal how beautiful it was on the "top of the world" .These guys excel at what they do. During our trip they even took the time to help a couple that were stuck on the "Escalator" I will return to Moab to bring my husband on this tour. I am slightly terrified of heights but felt calm and enjoyed every moment! I often forget to write reviews but this guys deserve the time! They are seriously the BEST!!!!!! Watching what the other tour guides were doing (boring) had me saying I chose correctly the first time.

This tour was super fun and exciting. The driver was very skilled and I felt completely safe the entire time. This should definitely be on your to do list if you visit Moab! 10/10 would definitely recommend for anyone who loves beautiful views and exciting rides in monster trucks.

we do not offer ATV tours. although our vehicles may look similar they offer a full roll cage, 5 point harness and bucket seat for every guest. they are very smooth with our race car suspension !
