John Marshall is one of only a handful of Master Trainers with the I4WDTA (Intl 4 Wheel Drive Trainers Assoc.). Our group of 8 rigs recently spent a week with him guiding us thru many of the famous Moab off-road trails. In addition to showing us gorgeous scenery, he is an excellent spotter & gave everyone the confidence necessary to tackle many tough, but fun obstacles. Story-teller, dancer, harmonica player, photographer & all around great guy, he also shares his driving & recovery knowledge freely, making us all more capable & safer wheelers. Whether you are riding along on one of his tours or driving your own vehicle, I don’t think you can go wrong with a Coyote/John Marshall Trip!

Best thing we did in Moab. Brian was more than perfect driver. He had a way about him that made you feel safe even though your heart is pounding and it’s a crazier ride than any roller coaster but so worth it!!! Best views that you could ever see!! Don’t even hesitate a second to book this in Moab. I’m so happy I did!!! I could have never did the “u drive” no way ever. Just let Brian drive you and you will have fun and be safe. I went with my husband and 2 kids 15 and 12 who were having a bad morning and Brian was so patient w us and made sure we had a good day. Oh and he showed us how to push my son off the cliff... just kidding but we got the best photo op thanks to Brian. Check my pictures you’ll see what I mean

This was quite the adventure! So much fun for the entire family. Bryan was a great driver and guide. He was a great combination of humor and knowledge. He knows the area well and loves the land and what he does. We did the sunset tour and the views were absolutely breath taking. Highly recommend!

Coyote Land Tours bailed us out of a very disappointing jam when our other tour cancelled due to lack of staff. It was a very different tour than originally planned but an experience we are glad we didn’t miss. Brian our driver and guide was very skilled and knowledgeable. If you want to experience one of a kind thrills off roading the Unimog is the way to go! Thanks John and Brian for making this tour happen.

The Unimog is the coolest and best vehicle, hands down. John ensured our safety while giving a thrilling and adventurous tour. He also took a couple of great family photos, one of which is sure to be our Christmas card this year. Highly recommend!

John turned what could have been a boring evening into a really fun trip into some crazy wilderness in Moab. The Unimog was amazing & scary fun. This was one of our highlights of our family roadtrip this summer. Thanks so much.... We also loved Hasbro - the wonder dog.

We are a couple of 60+ folks who have never been on a 4X4 who highly recommend that you hire John to take you on one of his Coyote Land tours. John's personality, knowledge, passion, music, and silly humor is worth every penny (and the price is very reasonable.) Just do it.

Taking a Coyote Land Tour with John and Hasbro is an unforgettable experience. You can't go wrong with beautiful scenery, experience, safety and adventure! You'll see Moab's incredible backcountry, beautiful views of the La Sal Mountains, and if you are lucky to do a sunset tour, stunning, colorful, views above the Colorado River and stars like you've never seen before. I am not a big off-roading fan, but this tour has something for everyone, and I have taken it several times with family and friends who come to visit. And the Unimog is such an amazing vehicle! I'm always amazed at what it can do. You'll find that John is extremely knowledgeable, fun, entertaining, and very passionate about what he does. He's very experienced as he has been off-roading for years, and designed and maintains his own vehicles. His tours are super flexible, as he will stop when someone wants a photo, or hang out if a group wants to stargaze a bit longer. He truly believes it is YOUR tour, and tries to accommodate folks as best as he can. You'll be talking about your Unimog tour for years!

John Marshall made our trip. Our youth group with 10 tired teenage boys was a tough crowd. But John kept things lively and entertaining the entire time — with jokes, stories, expert off-roading, a way with people and fascinating information about everything we were experiencing. I would highly recommend this tour. Thank you, John!

If you are in Moab, Utah and like a little excitement, then John have the tour for you.
We took the Sunset Tour and despite travelling over steep and potentially dangerous terrain, at no time we feel unsafe thanks to John's knowledge and expert driving.
The trail ended on top of a cliff overlooking the Colorado River where the views were spectacular and the perfect spot to watch a lovely sunset.
In addition to his driving skills, John as an excellent knowledge of the area, even stopping to point out several dinosaur footprints, and enjoy us with his humorous jokes and commentary's ... John's passion for the desert is contagious and makes us feel at home.
We returned in plain darkness and he knows the route so well he turn off the lights; nothing more exciting, entertaining and totally unforgettable.
I highly recommend this amazing adventure ... If we ever to visit Moab again, we would certainly take another trip with John.

Times you leave? How long is the tour during the day? There would probably be 4 adults? What are the "back issues"
We are headed that way on the 18th and will be there thru 22nd and would like to call and schedule once we arrive, is that too late?
We are with about 12 other RV couples, some of which have their own jeeps etc. and we are n to yet sure what day we have free to
take a guided tour. I could not get your website to work. Lynn Payne

Land tour response
Ok I need to put this issue with back problems to rest. I have been running these tours for going on 15 years and have never had a single issue.
So, with that said we will talk about the tours. Although we have permits that giving us access to over 30 trails in this beautiful red rock area, 99% of the trips we offer adventures into the Hells Revenge area. The Hells revenge trail seems to be a crowd favorite. Because of it's close location to town we minimize the amount of time traveled on the highway to get to our trailhead. From the time we load into the our custom off road vehicle it will be a short 10 minutes before your adventure begins. This is a fantastic scenic Trail with beautiful views that ends up bringing us to a 1000 foot cliff overlooking the Colorado River. The tourers typically last about 3 1/2 to 4 hours. We offer this trip either first thing in the morning or as a sunset trip. The time for the sunset trip changes based on the time of sunset each night. The cost for these tours has not increased in 12 years and is still being offered for $59.00 far adults and $39 for kids. Most weeks Coyote Land tours is closed on Tuesdays. There is usually no problem booking your adventure as little as five days before our tour date. Also we do require a minimum of four people before we will send a vehicle out. This simply means if you are a group of two I will need to have two additional people signed up for the same tour before that tour can depart. Generally this is not a problem. And remember, no one ever pays for these trips in till after we are back off the trail, and unless you had a fantastic time the trip is free.
It is always best to simply give us a call at 435-260-6056.
Thank you

We would really like to do this tour (Coyote Land Tour in Canyonland Park) when we visit Utah in September but saw one review that said if you have a bad back you should not take this tour. Is that accurate? My husband had back surgery 2 1/2 years ago and basically does almost anything he wants to and is very active but for sure I do not want him to injure his back. The seats in the vehicle look pretty supportive, is there consideration as to where you sit since I think sitting in the back row of seats would definitely not be good for someone with a bad back.
Thanks for your assistance.

I'm sure he will be fine but with a phone call I'm sure I can better ansewer your questions.
