Well organized and super fun trip, highly recommend. Knowledgeable and easy dudes to spend a day with, hard to imagine a better day in the canyons and in the water. We have already planned to do a longer trip next time in SE Utah. A*

Our family decided climbing on the rocks would be a little more exciting if we added rappelling to it so I called Desert Highlights because of the reviews on Trip Advisor and talked to Herb. The reviews were right on target! We had a great experience and felt completely comfortable with Herb as our guide. Though it was a scary... More

This was our family's first time to experience canyoneering and we could not more highly recommend Desert Highlights. Herb and Melissa were outstanding and made us all feel safe and comfortable and gave us the absolute highlight of a 14 day trip out west. It was truly exhilarating. They made novice climbers from age 58 to our youngest 23 all... More

We have been using Desert Highlights since the year Herb first joined up with Matt. Honored to be his first clients. We wouldn't consider using any other guide service. Desert Highlight trips are always consistent and Safe. This was the first year that I was able to include my 9 year old Son on a canyoneering and climbing adventure. Herb... More

Went canyoneering with Melissa from Desert Highlights --- one of our all time favorite tours. When we reserved our tour owner Herb was welcoming and encouraging but not at all pushy. During our tour Melissa was fun, conversational and relaxed but clearly focused and conscientious. Guys, I know you don't "make" the canyons but you sure know how to present... More

Due to rain we did not get to experience what we had planned. We did walk tour through the town of Moab and enjoyed Zax's restaurant twice!

My family of four was treated to a fun, educational, and challenging adventure with Melissa as our guide. We had a morning full of a short fun hike, rappelling, cold water, incredible spaces, and a personable, very competent guide.

Great day doing the granary hike. Melissa, lead and Cameron, lead in training did a great job of doing whatever it took so we could make this difficult hike and rappel happen. Malissa has a great touch with people. The owner, Herb, is down to earth and a good man. Highly recommend this company and will use them again. We had... More

If your looking for a great adventure to share with friends then try repelling into Medieval Chamber. It's definitely one of Moab's best canyons. The lower canyon has a running stream and huge natural arch which is breathtaking. Our guide, Melissa, was very knowledgeable about all things repelling related, and was also a wealth of knowledge about the local wildlife... More

We had a great three-hour family hiking/rappelling trip with Melissa and Cam, including a dual rappel over an arch. A great experience. They handled the beginners well and were a lot of fun to hang out with.
