Rock Climbing & Canyoneering Adventures for beginners and experienced...

Rock Climbing & Canyoneering Adventures for beginners and experienced climbers alike. Fun for young children and adults. Most of our adventures require no previous experience to enjoy! Canyoneering uses specialized equipment and techniques, including rappelling, to negotiate wet and dry canyons of varying difficulties. All trips have an important educational component to promote a deeper appreciation for our natural landscape. We are Moab’s oldest and most experienced climbing and canyoneering guide service. Half, full, and multi-day trips. Visit our website for more information on all our rock climbing and canyoneering adventures. Check us out on Facebook to see more photos of our adventures!

My husband and I along with our three boys (ages 9, 11, and 13) had an amazing adventure with Dustin and Chris. We have never done any rock climbing and our guides had us all ascending the cliffs in no time. Dustin and Chris gave us excellent instruction and great encouragement. I don't think the boys will forget seeing their... More

My son and I had only rock climbed in Gyms and not for past three years. We went out with Justin, just the two of us and he had us climbing some amazing straight cliffs. We learned great techniques, safety and truly challenged our bodies. This is not for the faint of heart, we up straight up cracks in the... More

My husband and I decided to go canyoneering. We signed up for the wet canyon hike. What a blast!!! The hike up was a bit tough but then the fun began!!! Hiking, swimming through water and then a rappell down about 90 feet! A special shout out to Sam our guide who kept us all safe! Would highly recommend this... More

It was our best experience in Moab! We were visiting Chamisa Canyon which is (The) best half day trip. The trip is great for young kids (our is 7yrs) and for teenagers (our oldest was 16). It has everything in it - climbing rocks, walking in a great dry stream path, walking inside water ponds between the rocks and abseiling.... More

Every year I return to Moab with a group of urban students before they leave for college. The goal of the trip is challenge them mentally and try new things so that when they get to college they have some new confidence. It is one of my favorite trips to see the students grow. This year, the students tried canyoneering.... More

Thank you Anna for submitting a review of your experience with Cliffs & Canyons. I’m sorry that your experience with our company wasn’t ideal. From Anna’s review, I understand she has two complaints and I’d like to address them: 1.She did not like that Sam didn’t speak much or provide enough encouragement for her group of adult urban students. “Sam,... Amazing. Had so much fun. Guides Heidi and Mark were fantastic. Totally felt safe and comfortable in their hands. Very knowledgeable. Loved being pushed to challenge ourselves. Wonderful family adventure and a memory of a lifetime. We will definitely be back!

The canyoneering and repelling was amazing! So glad we did it. Friends visiting from out of the state abs we'd never done anything like it before. The instructors food everything very well and were a lot of fun to go with. Recommended as a must down there.

Cliffs and Canyons offers a wide variety of experiences, and our choice would not be for everyone. "Little Sinbad" or Zero Gravity snakes one through and down into the small spaces in lithified dunes about 1 hour and 20 minutes west of Moab. This begins with a hike, then a break for a lunch before you begin working your way... More

We had an amazing adventure in the Fiery Furnace! Very attentive guides who modeled the adventure to our individual wants, needs and abilities. We had ages ranging from 9 to 67!! Unforgettable in every way!

The Arches and Canyonlands in Moab are absolutely incredible! The striking red/orange colour makes it an even more amazing site. There is a lot of walking to be done and can be uneven ground with rather steep cliffs so I wouldn't recommend for anyone who has walking problems. However if you are up for the walking it's a great experience.
