This was a first for us and we were nervous, but the Pilot Lou, put us at ease immediately as did his staff members. They were all very professional and yet so much fun to be with . Watching and being involved in the process of setting up the balloon, boarding it, flying in it and then landing was just amazing. Pilot Lou was able to show us many points of interest from our height of 2500 feet above the earth. I would highly recommend everyone enjoy this experience and especially with Canyonlands Ballooning company

It was the first time we take a balloon. What was very interesting for us was to follow the whole procedure from the beginning to the landing. Our grandchildren enjoyed very much but one grandchild lost her doodoo during the flight. Great experience. Bernard Gross

My boyfriend and I took our first hot air balloon ride on Friday (the 13th). Lou and the team were very professional and knowledgeable. The calm you experience while in flight and the views are fantastic. What a great way to see Moab!!

While it was an experience, our time in air was less than 30 minutes and we did not cross over any of the parks. We were told they had to cut the time in air by over 60% due to winds, but didn't offer to discount our trip. After landing, we had to wait over 45 min for the bus to come find us. At $300 per person it was overpriced for the experience we received.

Thank you for your review. And yes your flight was cut short due to the winds dramatically increasing after launch. Safety is our top priority. The pilot will not risk his, his crew or guests safety to add another 20 minutes to flight. This is not common but it happens. Along that vein, it is hot air ballooning and we do not know where any particular flight is going to land. We go literally where the wind takes us. We have neither a steering wheal nor fortune ball. Hot air ballooning is not for everyone; fixed wing scenic flights or helicopters with guaranteed flight patterns and sights are sufficient and best for some folks. On your flights, the winds came up after launch and took us far. We do our best every single day. We are sorry that our service did not meet your expectations; it is a difficult task to make every person happy. We try our best!

Great trip with 8 family members. Well organised and great scenery. As the wind was quite fast, be warned you can land with quite a bump and the basket falls over. Not as serene an exit as I’d expected!!
