We passed by this and it looked amazing , what a beautiful view ! The campgrounds here looked stunning too, right in the middle of beautiful nature and a far cry from the horrible RV park we stayed in in Moab!

We drove Route 128, which is about 45 miles long. Very scenic. Only stopped to take photos. Two lane road. Definitely worth seeing. Offers camping and rafting areas.

Going north out of Moab and a short distance before Arches N.P. is the turn. The road follows the river towards I-70. A few small, primitive camp grounds along the route. Along the middle to north end are tourist ranches, riding stables. Several put-in and...More

The towering red rock formations go on and on. We would speculate whether this one was an Indian palace or that one was a Crusader Castle. The drive is next to the Colorado river, and on the river sides there are all kinds of camp...More

We were trying to get to the Needles Visitor Center for Canyonlands, but turned into this area. The views and scenery are absolutely spectacular and on par with Canyonlands itself. Nice picnic areas near various camping locations to enjoy a nice (packed in) lunch.

Arrived in town too early to check-in to hotel, so took a drive up the river, happy I did. Very scenic two lane road. Also saw many side excursions if I had the time.

I chose the Sound and Light Show with Dinner tour. A great dinner was served in the dining hall before the riverboat. Good BBQ meats with generous helpings and your choice of foods. This was an excellent trip. The riverboat sound and light show was...More

There are small campgrounds along the river, very bare bones, with pit toilets and I think a running water source. We stopped to use the toilet at one. As mentioned there are a couple really nice Dude Ranches up towards... More
