Wow what an incredible rappelling and canyoneering adventure with Mike! Four 50 year old friends on a girls’ trip and decided we needed to get out of our comfort zone a bit. Initially we were signed up for a tough 4 hour hike and challenging rappelling but Mike talked to us about options and chose a perfect half day at Moon flower canyon with 3 rappels. We were of course nervous but Mike made us all feel safe and we can’t stop talking about how much fun it was. I highly recommend this trip and ask for Mike if possible!

When we booked the all day 4x4 Arches and Canyonlands National Park tour, we knew we wanted to see both National parks but didn’t know exactly what to expect. With this being our first time in Moab, we were really hoping to see some sights and learn more about the area. Our tour guide (David) made sure that we achieved both of these. He was EXTREMELY knowledgeable about both the history of each park and the geographical features. He took time to explain how the area ended up the way that it did and always had detailed answers to our questions. David knew the names and stories behind multiple rock formations. He catered to the group and made sure that we got to see all of the sights that we wanted to see. He even took us to parts of the park that most people don’t get the opportunity to experience due to the technical 4x4 routes that it takes to get them. David even took the time to teach us about wildlife & park preservation so that we could be safe in the parks for the rest of our vacation! You can tell that this guide had a passion for the company he was working for and for Moab as a whole. Thank you David!! I highly recommend Navtec and David as a guide to anyone looking for a unique way to experience Moab!!

We booked the Arches & Canyonlands 4X4 All Day Adventure and were so happy that we chose that excursion. Chris was our tour guide and driver for the day, and we could not have been more pleased with his driving skill and commentary every inch of the way. Although much of the road was extremely bumpy and narrow at times, Chris maneuvered our vehicle carefully keeping our comfort in mind. We toured with one other couple which made it a very pleasant and more personal tour.

We saw Canyonlands National Park in a way that we would not otherwise have attempted. The scenic overlooks were amazing, and driving the White Rim Trail was breathtaking, literally. After a delicious lunch, freshly tossed Chicken Caesar salad placed in a wrap, we continued on to Arches National Park. Although we had seen much of the park the day before on our own, Chris took us to some of the areas that we had not seen. He was very amenable to making the tour fit our wishes as best he could.

My only complaint would be that we were picked up at our hotel almost 40 minutes late because of some confusion over scheduling back at NAVTEC. But once we were actually picked up, the day was perfect. If you only have one day to see both parks, I highly recommend this excursion.

I made reservations in Jan 2020 for Oct 2020 and paid in full instead of calling and paying $15/person/trip to hold reservation until several weeks before actual trip. What I did not see on the website was there would be a 60 day wait period before they refunded the fee. I canceled by email, was told to send trip date, names and address for check to be mailed.

About 5 weeks after I canceled, I called to find out where my refund was and was then told that there was a 60 day wait/hold period. They called 2 months after cancellation and told me it had been mailed and I received it about 5 days later.

So for all who read this and are making an reservation well ahead of the actual trip date, call and put down the $15 hold fee and then pay the full amount closer to the trip date. Having to wait for $15 refund is much easier than waiting for full amount of trip.

No problem with employees as they were courteous, just waiting for 60+ days to receive refunds was..

We did a 1/2 day raft trip down the lower Colorado River. They did a semi-custom trip just because it was so late in the season. The guide was our favorite part. Engaging. Informative. Quick wit. Patient. A Great leader. We held on to every word as he had so many interesting facts and stories to tell us about everything. My kids who are 6 and 8 were having just as much fun and were as engaged as my husband and I who are 45 and 49. Lunch was surprising - not the typical boring boxed lunch. Our guide actually set up a table and prepared fresh chicken Caesar salad wraps on the side of the river. Hiking and a mini canyoneering lesson was a welcomed surprise. This was non stop and the perfect mix of adventure, education, scenic and relaxation. Majestic views. Simply breathtaking at times. When we went the rapids were low but just enough jostling for he kids to be excited. HIGHLY recommend this company. They really know what they are doing.

We did the Calm Water Cruise and it was an incredible experience. Our guides were Will and Brian, our boat had Brian as the guide and he was fantastic. He has the great combination of humor, knowledge and great storytelling. He expertly navigated the river which was still shallow in early April, and shared his knowledge of the beautiful landscape and told stories along the way. The view from the river is unique and to be able to see the beauty and majestic formations is a treasure! We docked along the way and were guided to an area that had petrified trees, Brian provided interesting details and information about how the process occurs and more stories along the way. There were children in the group and he captivated both the children and adults. We went back to the boats and went a bit farther where they let the boats float while they provided a snack. It was still and peaceful and will be long remembered!

We did the full day Arches and Canyonlands combo trip with Rick. We shared the 4x4 with another couple. We enjoyed them and Rick quite a bit. Rick is a long time resident of Moab and was able to share a lot about the community as well as the parks. This is a great way to see some parts of the parks that you wouldn’t necessarily be able to drive to yourself. We started by coming in the back of Arches and seeing Tower arch and then left the park by the main road stopping at some sights along the way. We then to the Potash road thru BLM land and into Canyonlands and up Schafer’s trail. Please know what Schafers trail is before going on this trip. The NAVTEC drivers are highly skilled and safe but if you are afraid of heights/sheer drop offs that part of the trip could be a challenge. If you can make the dates work I’d recommend doing this trip on one of your first days in the area and then using other days to pick up some of the easier things to see. Both us and the other couple had hit up some things the day before in the parks so Rick made sure we spent more time on things we hadn’t yet seen and didn’t linger on things we already had. It was great that he could tailor the experience to the group. We loved Moab and are considering using NAVTEC for Cataract Canyon rafting next time we come out.

We went on the 2-day Maze trip with Mike and it was a perfect, boundary pushing trip that I would recommend to everyone! Mike was funny, knowledgeable, and dependable when in the stickier situations of what you think you can handle. Also learning so much that I didn't know about the lands and wildlife, and this is coming from someone who deep dives into those subjects for fun. The amenities during the trip and at camp were beyond expectation. Great food, breakfast, lunch for hikes, and the dinner was awesome...coffee with accouterments, unlimited water, and a "restroom" set up with a view better than any 5 star hotel I uave stayed in. This was one of those "was that a dream" kind of experiences with a little sweat and muscle aches to take for souvenirs. I would tell most people I know to do this trip and also sidenote; always tip your guides generously, they have your life in their hands!!! Will be doing more adventures with this company!

A friend and myself joined our incredible guides Charlotte and Chance on a 3 night, 4 day 4 x 4 camping tour of The Maze district in Canyonlands. WOW! Remote, dramatic and memory of a lifetime. Our guides were amazing: incredible energy, vast knowledge of the region including its geology, native peoples, flora, fauna and hidden gems. Charlotte magically navigated our Toyota through challenging terrain, booked the best campsites and with Chance prepared delicious meals following magnificent days of hiking, exploring & marveling at the drama of this secluded, wild & unique space on earth. We can't wait to return!! Thank you.

What a great trip this was. Navtec had great reviews, which is why we booked it and they were proven accurate.
Our guide, Josh, was fantastic. He was engaging, informative and truly cared about the place.
Canyonlands was several of our groups favorite of the Big 5. The day trip we took was a fantastic way to not only see it but several other places along the way Josh took us. We had numerous scenic photo stops and it seemed like each o e was better than the last.
Highly recommend Navtec, Josh, Canyonlands and the white rim trail.
If you go with Josh be more duck of really important right turns and “ground beef”. Ask him about bears and bells too.
