I have been interested in photography for decades and have devoted more time in the last few years to improving my gear and developing my skills. My wife recently gave me as a present a chance to work with Dan Norris for an evening doing photography in Moab, Utah. It was an outstanding experience. Dan has been working in the area for over 30 years and knows every corner of the place. He first took me to a place containing many panels of petroglyphs. We then went to a great photo spot (off the trail… you could not get there in a sedan) to take pictures of the Determination Towers. We then headed to Arches and found a few nice spots with excellent vantage points to photograph Balanced Rock and other rock formations at sunset. Finally, we he took me to another off-the-trail spot to do night photography of star trails with Skyline Arch in the foreground. I really enjoyed talking to Dan about photography, Moab and his life experiences. I learned quite a bit from him about night photography. Importantly, I came home with some nice photos. He later helped me, via email, to process the night photography images and also took time to give me advice on some of my other images (even some I took on my own during my trip to other Utah parks). I think spending time with Dan would be an awesome opportunity for anyone interested in photography whether a novice or a more experienced photographer.

Did a 4 hour Milky Way Tour with Bryan Haile. Wow! I cant tell you how exciting my time with Bryan was that evening. He took mw places in Arches National Park I would never had seen, put me the right spot at the right time to get some gret shots of the sun set, twilight in the park and some incredible starshots after dark. He was always helpful and never pushy about taking good photographs. I really, really enjoyed it and it was worth the price charged

Bryan, thanks again It was great meeting you and I really hope I see your shot taken at Park Avenue. Best to you in the future.

Yesterday, my wife and I took a full-day tour with Dan, at Tom Till’s photo tours, in Moab Utah. Our morning was spent with taking sunrise photographs at Dead Horse Point and the evening in Arches NP taking sunset photos and even some nighttime shots of the Milky Way. It was a privilege to see the area with someone who knows it so well. Dan did an exceptional job of working with each of us. We both came away from the day with new skills and a bunch of great images to work with when we get home. We were both very inspired by the experience. I highly recommend their tours for both experienced photographers, and beginners.

A friend and I recently spent two days on a Tom Till photography tour with Dan Norris. The entire experience was STELLAR from start to finish. From the original conversation with Claire at the gallery to answer questions to discussing Dan's recommendations for shoot locations to the actual tour, it was a 100% 5-star experience. In addition to being a nice guy that is easy to spend time with, Dan is an amazing photographer and a patient teacher/coach with an extensive knowledge of the areas around Moab and a personal collection of jaw-dropping images of beautiful Utah. His plan for our tour took us to a variety of locations, many of which were little known (so no sharing with other photographers!) and at the right time of day for best light and interesting shots. Dan made it possible for us to make the most of our shooting time, to build our photography skills, and to capture fabulous images of this beautiful and unique place!

I went on an all day tour with Bryan Haile. Bryan was an excellent guide. His congeniality and ensuring I got the best shots made my photo tour memorable. He took me places in the Moab area I would not have otherwise known about. I really enjoyed sunrise at Marlboro Point. I learned how to do star trail photography and have already made an enlargement on a metal print. It looks great! Bryan also showed me lots of ancient Native American petroglyphs and taught me quite of bit of ancient history of the area. The next time I am in Moab I will definitely set up another tour with Bryan.

Went on a Night Milky Way tour with Dan Norris and it was fantastic! We started out at sunset and he guided us through several locations in and around Arches. Having wandered around the area by ourselves it was great to have someone take us right to the spots to capture stellar images. Dan is super knowledgeable about photographing the night sky as well as all locations around the area. We really enjoyed ourselves and have some stellar images to keep! A bonus was that we were in the area for several days and he gave us a few places that would be great to visit at other times for photography, it was helpful to get some "local" advice on where to go on our own.

It was a pleasure learning from Dan over the two days in Moab in October. Dan took me to remote, off-the-beaten-path locations for sunrise, sunset and night sky photography as I requested. I hope to visit the region again for more photography and would have no hesitation in engaging Dan's expertise.

My wife Maria and I took a morning tour with Dan Norris. It could not have been better. Dan took us to the areas we wanted to see. I was blown away by his knowledge of when the best light would be on each arch. He moved us around to take advantage of the light. He is a master photographer and has the skills of a great instructor, when help is needed. Last, but not least: we enjoyed spending time with him. We hope to go back to take a day tour to see less frequently visited areas and a night tour to photograph the Milky Way.
Till tour with Dan, Oct. 2019 Arches NP.

When I signed up for photo lessons with Bryan Haile of Tom Till Photo Tours, my goal was to learn techniques for better photos and get the best shots I can of Moab. I got this and so much more. Bryan took the time to meet with me in advance to determine my needs and expectations and took the time to show me the most beautiful spots in Moab and the methods and lighting to get some amazing pictures. We did night photos for some fantastic pictures of the Milky Way and hiked up to Delicate Arch for some incredible sunset photos. I've been doing photography as a hobby for over thirty years and thanks to Bryan I got some of the best shots of my life. I was so impressed with his work, I ended up signing up twice for lessons from him. If you want incredible photos in Moab, Bryan is your guy. He goes above and beyond to ensure you the experience of a lifetime. I cannot recommend him enough.
