Our Storyteller was dressed in period clothing a top hat and lantern in hand. Our Group was large so he carefully got us to and from the sites with his assistant also dressed in period clothing. He entertained us, ask questions, gave historical insight as to what may have happen at each site. Be prepared to walk and go up... More

I has a very wonderful time on this tour. Our tour guide Rick was very knowledgeable and entertaining. He presented the tour in a way that made it enjoyable and entertaining. I especially liked it because they were able to accommodate myself and other guests who did not make a reservation. I must say that l would take this tour... More

Our story teller kept things moving and held everyone's attention with insightful and interesting historical references. Wear comfortable shoes, you'll be doing a lot of walking and hill climbing.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the history aspect of the tour. Don't understand how some people say that its a waste of money. We highly recommend! Thanks to Rick and his wife, we had a wonderful time.

Recently went to Harpers Ferry with my GF and had a blast, expect for the town literally closes at 5 p.m. and we had to stroll thru the "ghost town" for a couple hours while waiting for the tour to begin. Once we met at the beautiful Catholic church up on the hill the tour itself was very interesting and... More

Loved this ghost tour. The tour guide is an outstanding story teller and really made the history come to life. Even though we were a part of a large group, it was easy to hear and he did a great job keeping the group moving and together. I highly recommend including the ghost tour on any trip to Harpers Ferry.

Took the tour on Sat. 15 Oct., with about 50 other guests. The total number of guests - about 100 - was split in two with Rick Garland taking one half and his fellow guide/wife taking the other half. As the mob of 100 assembled before the tour, I grew quite skeptical - the noise of the crowd, assuming I'd... More

I used to go on the Ghost Tour back when Mrs. Dogherty was still alive. Was always the pest part of my Fall. The new tour is good, but not the same. The stories he told for the most part are the same, but Mrs Doghery was an amazing story teller, and told more stories.Maybe when there are less people... More

The tour was creepy, informative, and entertaining and was our favorite part of our visit to Harpers Ferry. The best way I could describe the guide: he was not a teacher resiteing a memorized lecture or script, he was more like a friend excited to share his knowledge of the town's history, cracking jokes and making everyone feel comfortable. I... More
